I was wondering how you did the conversion for the SSD, did you use a SATA converter? I am trying to find out one that would fit and not interfere with the cover when I screw back on

Transcend built some SSDs with an IDE connector, so you don't need any sata converter. Unfortunately they're very old and not compareable with the latest SSDs :)
