Not the best legal strategy because if you present a definite case of "We know who did it and it's that person", you are making yourself have to provide evidence to the jury to make that case. Make the case for your clients, not against another person not on trial. You can point at the evidence of him not shooting, rather than make the case for the other person. Not that it matters, cause Tory dumb ass already admitted it on the jail house interview

You guys aren't very informed on the case. I've read about this case extensively. On top of that, you can't use secret undocumented interviews as evidence, that's why Kelsey's shit was recorded. So if the witness said something different to the defense outside of his initial police statement, it should have been recorded or documented. It wasn't, therefore can not be presented as evidence to the Jury and it's hearsay at that point.

@@mrspgrew Honestly from what I heard that was not even on the table, the DA had so much other stuff. I have friends in the LA County DoJ and everyone was shocked Tory even took it to trial. He is a Canadian national, millionaire, running around LA with a unregistered firearm that is loaded, then firing it off into the city [He actually admitted to firing the gun through his lawyer]. Those three charges without the assault charge, is already multiple felonies. Compounded by the fact that he never grew up in a situation where gun violence was common. On top of that the DA was extremely upset with the influence he is having on actual LA youth, that know no better. If you look at Cali laws just taking what he said happened, he's looking at 5+ years since it went to trial. This is not including his assault charge too. Everyone was trying to figure out the angle with the whole targeting Meghan thing, since there were multiple witnesses, including the one from the balcony of his house that attested to it, and on top of that his lawyer said he fired warning shots! To the DA and State this was just straight up harassing the victim/witness and if her foot was permanently disabled, Tory would have been hit with 205 PC of the California Penal code which is "Aggravated Mayhem", which is essentially life in prison.

THERE IS NO SURPRISES IN A COURT TRIAL! everything that is happening in court has to be shared before the trial with the judge, and the otherside and he would have been in contempt of court had he done that and then lost the cooperation of kelsey or whatever her name is and the state would have loved that! what joe was saying makes absolutely no sense... and thats not how the court works. again, there are no surprises in a trial and everything that happens and will take place is already known by everyone in the proceedings

You still need to provide proof that someone else did it.. which his defense didn't do. The prosecution provided plenty of evidence that pointed towards Tory and the defense couldn't even get one witness on the stand to testify otherwise.

He is supposed to say he ruined his own life and don’t start blaming the judge as if he is somehow responsible for the poor choices Tory made. He still doesn’t understand how to be accountable for his own actions and that’s sad. That rich privileged lifestyle made him feel above the law enforcement and court rooms. Grow up Tory…..😢

On top of that, in the opening statements the defense 100% said Kelsey shot Meg. In general what he's saying is true, but in a case where it can only be 1 of 2 possible people, what defense could they have that didn't include Kelsey as a shooter?
