The Lilly I’m not justifying his behavior nor disputing your point I just would like to point out that him sending that private text to her to apologize was likely genuine on some level, and him living tweets and trying to justify his actions and the narrative of when it’s alright to hit women was likely a strategic move by his team, because keep in mind that the minute this situation became confirmed he had his PR people and likely legal counsel advising his every move, that’s why he’s not really speaking publicly or giving a detailed apology that could incriminate him and that’s likely under advisement from council. And as for the social media moves his PR team likely have been on his social media and trying to garner some sort of support from fans and doing damage control so he doesn’t lose everything. That apology text was the last time that Tory had the wheel on this whole thing, the next day his team took over and he’s just sitting back trying to get through it.

I don’t really believe him just because of what he’s done before but, it definitely is an excuse. Alcohol (and drugs in general), do things to do. You change into a whole different person. Your mind works differently and your judgment isn’t right. You do things that you’d never even think of doing. You’re incoherent. It’s still fucked up though & not everyone gets the same effects.
