I've had so many people tell me "you can't do this" or "you can't do that"... And despite that, 40 years later, the one that tells me that, over and over... Is me... I respect the hell out of Goggins, because he's one of the few people on the planet, who speaks wisdom men needs to hear... I've started to pick myself up, but man is it hard... 30+ years of sitting in front of a computer, being a gamer, and not realizing there's a life away from the computer... Realizing my body is as weak as it gets, and having to pick myself the fuck up... Ain't noone going to do it for me, and worst part... I've not been truly happy since i was a kid... I've had many pleasures, but no happiness... So one morning, i woke up, said "fuck it"... The last year i've been trying to get myself into shape... My goal is - I want to be happy once more, before i kick the bucket... Even if it kills me...

What David Goggins says is so TRUE!!!! They will talk about you when you are less then them and they will talk about you when you are better then them. LOL Just do you and stay hard!!!! So true. Much respect for David.

It's really anoying triying to make a normal life with occupations and staying hard like he says but knowing you will feel like shit anyway, so frustrating. I know deep inside it is neccesary though.

I think this advice is very contraditive. If you don't want to give them space in your head and don't want revenge and things like that, why thinking about those people and getting fueld by the anger to show them their wrong? Why would that statistic matter when racism and subjugation and marginalization is historically documented against minorities in the military. Only 35 African Americans were selected not bcuz of ineptitude or cowardice, but bcuz of ignorance and prejudice. Tuskegee airmen, and the black unit from New York in WWI, even the black soldiers from in the Massachusetts regiment prove that bravery and skill and patriotism exists in abundance in the black community.
