TORQ MOTO - Billy MacKenzie - The Truth of British Motocross - Part 1
Next up on the 'Torq Moto Podcast Show driven by Talon' is former multiple British MX champion and factory Kawasaki and Honda world championship MXGP racer Billy MacKenzie.
Billy doesn’t hold back in this two-part episode of the new podcast show with hosts DocWob and Jeff Perrett. The proud Scot has always worn his heart on his sleeve throughout his illustrious MX career and he’s never been afraid to say it how he sees it. With his professional motocross career now firmly in the history books Billy looks back and talks about how it all started, his relationship with his father, the rivalry with fellow Scotsman Stephen Sword, playing the ‘bad boy’, the influence Australia has had on him and the highs and lows of an always entertaining life as a professional MX racer.

Favourite BillyMac memory was final round of British at Polesworth when him and Swordy were going at it. Miles ahead of everyone else on 125’s in their class. Back in the day when you would have top 20 125’s vs 250’s!! Legendary era

Fantastic guys. I know it's hard but try not to interrupt Billy so much. Let him finish his thoughts. Or any guest! I really enjoyed listening to this, especially when he was talking about Japan and his attitude to racing. Thanks.

GREAT PODCASTS ? nice beers ? Can you remember wob, tramps night club in Worcester when you was there with eddy , Mullen I think and 2 others, I'd been practising with eddy, the ox and prestwood at davenports farm the week before and when I said hello to Paul I felt he snubbed me and we stepped to each other to fight and you 3 all stepped in to back him up ? Nothing happened as I was on e's so probably got it wrong ? Lol ? When I was at Dean v.o's house I told his mom and she said he wasn't like that and I'd more than likely got it wrong ? Moto cross memories ?? Nations 91 @ vaakensward, me, dean vo, KP, miles carter & Nick Moore is another ? Lol. I love talking about our mx memories we've got, none mx'ers don't understand our passion for the sport, I do wish I'd turned left instead of right tho ? Keep up the great work boys 👌✊🤘
