    it's amazing how he genuinely engages w people that are so far detached from reality. He doesn't treat them like weirdos. He treats them like people...even w the girl talking about $$$$ing on people. he connects w everyone and passes no judgement.

  • @FallOnThese

    @FallOnThese

    @The4valanche I get your point. but just because everyone's own experiences are real, that does not mean they are living in the real world and within social norms for humans. For example the bippers on San Fran who are talking about it like they are going to work...the guy who thinks he is jesus...the girl in the example above...these people are beyond the fringes of social norms. What they are doing is real enough to them..but stealing from peoples cars and getting banned from auto parts stores so you can't buy spark plugs to break windows is the perfect example of someone who is detached from the reality of life.

    The major problem with Toronto, is that all the immigrant children are horribly rich and rely on their parents for everything. That's why they have these disgusting personalities and are usually brought back down to earth when someone slaps them or they finally end up having to get a job or go to rehab.

    French-Canadians have no reason to learn English if they live in Quebec. French-Canadians are not catered to in places like B.C. and Alberta, a uni-lingual Francophone person has less of Canada to access than an Anglophone. Anglophones have an entire country. We only have one province. French-Canadians bombed buildings and deleted English politicians in the 60s, they got trained by Palestinians in Jordan, teamed up with the Black Panthers and that's what gave us the power to run our own province and be taken seriously. You think we're stuck up? We don't care. Just don't pretend that you care about immigrants when Ottawa blocks 70% of French speaking Africans from coming into Quebec just because they do not speak English. In a place where they would never need it in the first place. Nah just bring in hundreds of thousands of south-east-Asian people, that's OK cause they speak English. The English did not "give" us anything. We fought tooth and nail for it while we were illiterate and living in shanty towns. The IRISH of all people were oppressive to French-Canadians in Quebec and Ontario, things like the Shiner's War happened where the Irish would r*pe and m*rder French-Canadian women in the streets and the cops looked the other way.

    One of the most thought provoking elements of the Channel 5 content repertoire is that all of these people had an entire life that led them to a singular, chance moment to be in front of Andrew's microphone. It can feel like the opposite at times, like these people spawned in the middle of the street, with some insane, contrived backstory that drives them to rap poorly and spontaneously. But they ARE real lol. Incredible.

    Surrey has this stereotype of being a crime hotspot in B.C. but it's improved a lot by recently adding more buildings, stores, and roads. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be. The local government has been funding more infrastructure projects and modernizing places like Guildford, Fleetwood, and Cloverdale the past few years. It's become much, much safer. While it doesn't compare to Vancouver which is a 30 min ride away, Surrey is still a beautiful city. I'm not currently sure about Whalley or Newton though, those places are REALLY shady and could probably use another decade of construction and cleanup lol

It's funny.. in the "drive thru" video, the cashier just looks like she doesn't understand english and the customer sounds like a typical angry Karen... It's like trying to order a coffee in the US speaking french.. There's a lot of people who does'nt speak english in Quebec, but in Montreal, almost everyone speaks english. Would be interesting to see one of your documentary exploring that bilingual duality ; and the culture and sub cultures in Montreal are dope !
