Toro Recycler Personal Pace Self Propel Not Working. Not The Usual Fix

In today's video, a customer is having issues with their Toro Personal Pace lawn mower. The self propel system is not working properly. I have had multiples of this mower in this year with a wide variety of self-propel issues. The fix for this particular mower was a unique one. Check it out.

Hi Gerry , Just Subscribed to your channel and just learned the way you changed that part on the drive bar ... I live in Massachusetts and started picking up free mowers and buying /selling as a side gig my second year .. I have gotten addicted and love taking different mowers apart and figuring what is wrong with them especially Toro mowers !! keep making these great videos!!!

10:03 As long as it’s in, “wrong” doesn’t apply. (That’ll do!) It’s always a tricky repair when plastic parts are involved. Nice fix to get rolling again.

Good detailed repair video. I think I'd have just tried 2 small hose clamps on the split one first; especially if I didn't have a spare.

Brant hows it going these days!!!?!?!!?!? Doing great over here. I have one of those Toro lawnmowers that used to be my grandpa's and I couldnt figure out why the self propel didnt work. I just took the damn mechanism out and now use it as a push mower lol

@@brantsmallenginerepairs I remember back in the day you helped me with the auger brake spring on the Toro CCR 3650 which I still have to this day, I haven't used it at all last year since we didnt have snow totals where I needed the snowblower. I only shoveled for any small amount of snow we got here in Chicago and the blacktop driveway dries the whole driveway with the sun out very quickly.
I noticed the "S" hook on the cable was installed opposite to your machine. I guess it still works but it might be stressing the cable?

can you tell me how to wire an hour meter to a lawn tractor- it did not come with one- got one off a junk mower Is it one to ground and the other to hot when running ?

Hey armyvet4081. You can get 12v from the key switch or headlight circuit. Then a good ground.
