I nearly died of laughter at Audriana's answer/facial expressions to who colored on the table. Homegirl has NO poker face. lol

I was in the Moore, OK tornado in 2013 and it's very true. Right before it hits, like actually hits your house, it becomes dead silent and there is no rain at all for about 45 seconds to a minute. So glad yall didn't have to go through anything severe or damaging!!

Nobody ever "thinks there's going to be a tornado". If the sirens are going off that means that there is a tornado close enough to you to be a threat. Never doubt the sirens!

Helga G Pataki I live in Illinois. We just have the sirens. The sirens go off if there is a tornado on the ground nearby. Tornadoes can shift direction in the blink of an eye, so it's always best to just take cover when you hear one. We definitely don't have a voice telling us anything.

I'm in Dallas, TX and tornado warnings scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. We don't have basements here so once my mom out us in a tub and covered us with a mattress when one was nearby. I'm not so scared of them now but it's definitely unpleasant going through that.

that's funny because I live in a state where no houses have basements and I've always wanted one! When I visit my family in other states I always love chilling in the basements especially the ones that are actual living space, not just an unfinished room in the house.

This is my first time i have watched your channel and i already am in LOVE with it! Your kids are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo STINKING CUTE!

I love how when he gets the warning on his phone and hears the sirens he does not go in the basement. I live in GA and we also get tornadoes here often. We get our family in the basement as soon as the NWS alert says theres a tornado warning, but my mom and I usually go back upstairs to record and take pictures, but then go down once we see rotation, or other signs of an ACTUAL tornado approaching. Unless you have a lot of experience with storms (I do, and thats why I record them) TAKE SHELTER WHEN THERE IS A WARNING! Btw he is incorrect. It doesnt matter how far away the siren is. If you can hear a siren, take cover.

jjboy04 04 Wow, The strongest tornado in my county was an EF3, strongest tornado in the state was an EF5, but it did not produce EF 5 winds on the georgia side, only on the alabama side. We did have another strong tornado that same day (4/27/11) that did EF4 damage north of me and leveled some strong houses to the foundations. Only rated an EF4 though.

Dude, wrong information. Tornadoes can come when there is rain, no rain, wind or no wind. Look for the green sky. And the tornado sirens would only be louder if the sirens are closer, not if the tornado is closer.. They are broadcast at the same sound level, but the fact that your sirens went off means that you are under a tornado warning. NEVER underestimate the siren and the fact you got the weather alert on your phone means that you were under a tornado warning. I've been through seven, the warnings are in place for a reason.

It is true. In fact most tornadoes are obscured by high velocity winds and rain, often times their own RFD. It is rare to get a photogenic tornado. Green or turquoise, dependent on time of day, represents hail and often indicate tornadoes due to the sign of strong updrafts and rotation. To add, even though the siren goes off never means you are safe. There is still danger until the storm passes over.
