For all those who are wondering, this was filmed in Purcell, OK.

my goodness the people just kept hitting that siren button its a good thing they kept the sirens blaring.

To paraphrase George Constanza "The skies were angry that day my friends". I've been in a tornado, fortunately the one I was in was only an F0. An F3 came within five miles of our house and I had pink attic insulation coming down in my yard. That was pretty spooky.

I was one block from a Good Friday tornado in Ferguson Missouri in 2011.

Damn, what an impressive looking storm. You had a great view of everything.

That sure is an impressive looking supercell thunderstorm.Really noticed all the lightning that it was producing.

The siren heard in the distance is a modulator.

That would be me, watching the fricking tornado, instead of taking shelter, but theres no safe place in my house, so i am S O L anyway!

We once had one of these right in our backyard in Oklahoma. It used to scare the hell out of my little brother. I'll never miss that sound.

This is really great footage and captures the whole tense atmosphere of these situations. Tornados are both scary and absolutely fascinating, we had an F3 go right by our little town in SC when I was a kid. I am addicted to storm chasing. Live in the UK now and the weather is tame. I miss the big US storms.

I had an EF1 pass by just 3 blocks south of me in 2006, we didn't suffer any damage except 4 inches of water in the basement because we had no power for 2 days. I knew something was different about this storm when I went outside and had a piece of metal siding twisted leaning up against my front porch..

I have gone down a rabbit hole with tornado videos lately and I’m so ok with it

This is absolutely awesome footage of a supercell thunderstorm, we very rarely get them here in the UK, here where i live in the Midlands UK were lucky to get a decent thunderstorm let alone a supercell one. Well done for sharing this brilliant video, i can only imagine how scary that situation can be. Some great lightening strikes too.

This was not a very big storm compared to the normal Tornado season

The last day before my spring break started me and my best friend were talking cause it was our last class of the day and I noticed it was very dark outside so I looked up AccuWeather on my Chromebook and it immediately popped up saying Tornado Warning and I go like “dude, we’re under a Tornado Warning” and then they came over the loudspeaker saying Tornado Warning and then they started playing a Siren through the loudspeaker and we were stuck in the school for over another hour! We were supposed to have much worse storms later that night but we dogged a bullet!

Perfect supercell. Those tornado warning sirens remind me of the Cold War.

Rain Wrapped Tornado you think it’s raining wall coming towards you but it’s actually a tornado 😣

man that outflow is wild in that if it touched down it was going to be powerful sucks when they rain wrap

Just watching this gives me the chills..An thems gonna get rid of them sirens for a thing on your fone if you got coverage that is....gimme a siren any time..

That thing looked like it was rain-wrapped and stayed in one spot

Those Modulators sure got a workout on this day doing repeated activations only a few cities and towns do this most others activate sirens for 3 or 5 minutes then wait for any additional activattions if the warning is extended

Wow the inflow into that was crazy!! This had to be a f-3 or higher

I've sat with friends at a park in a car watching weather like this. Had the car shoved around a few times as well.😅

That was very close to your house but I'm happy nothing bad happened to you guys

Yes, we had a good view from the outside of the storm

You were actually looking at the mesocyclone during the first part of the video. The wall cloud is underneath. This is a great video, though!

Wind was definitely picking up there time to run or hide 🤔

The sirens seemed like it went for onfor an hour at least, And the storm did not hit my town, it hit a smaller community 5-10 miles away

Was there any warning notice? Scary! In Texas there’s not much notice. I couldn’t imagine… definitely I’d be the neighbor to invest in the shelter. I’m always thinking about others safety when bad weather occurs.. even worst when we lose a person. 😢 Rest In Peace to the victims 💐

There was very short notice, often times around here they will warn days in advance when the conditions are ripe for storms, this storm just popped up

They're only loud so they can cover large areas. They aren't that loud unless you're pretty close to them. Then, they are pretty loud.
