That's EXACTLY what this monster was. Literally if you weren't in a underground shelter or a structure designed to handle 300+ mph winds, you basically signed your death warrent if you were in the path of this thing. My house was destroyed by this tornado, and the only thing that saved my family was a underground bunker my dad and I built specifically with something like this in mind. The house, our possessions, everything gone and our house was nothing but a foundation

@@lesliesmith7305 As someone who lived through both the 1999 and 2013 supertornado's that hit Moore, Oklahoma. As well as the El Reno tornado, and the "Canton Trio" more recently. It's impossible to explain the fear. I was also in Houston during Hurricane Harvey and to be honest, I was scared of what Harvey was capable of, but not near as scared as I was during these times. I don't know if I just have a bad habit of living in tornado stricken areas(Moore & El Reno, Oklahoma as well as Canton and Dekalb, Texas) or what, but there's honestly no words to correctly describe the raw fear and emotion something like this envokes.

i remember watching the news he next day. seeing what happened on the weather channel. only thing i was thinking of what help could be given. i had several friends go down to help out. at the time i was having financial issues, but i really wanted to go help down there with the cleanup. if reed was there that day, he may have not survived. storm chasers are highly respected in the US, and i have a lot of respect for those guys. but to lose your home, neighbors, and family, that is a worse feeling then having to do your job. @@supertornadogun1690 I agree that this was more of an intense storm visually but in my opinion that's because of the location. More debris. If the El Reno storm would have hit a more densely populated area I cant imagine what it would have looked like with that amount of debris swirling around it. The multi vortex structure was way more intense with it. My opinion though. I hope and pray that an equivalent storm never hits a more populated area.

you can feel the shift into despair when they realize it's heading right for town. it's heartbreaking to watch them have to do their jobs knowing the data they collect from this event will be crucial for helping prevent it from happening again, but also knowing that people they know and love, as well as hundreds of children, are in the path of this storm, and there's nothing anyone can do. there was no excitement in this episode, just everyone clinging desperately to hope.

These episodes are like small remembrances of the famous horrible storms that happened in those days. Moore, El Reno, the Tuscaloosa outbreak, the small one that hit Lambert Airport in St Louis--years have gone by and the damage is mostly gone, but people can watch these and recall what happened from the outside perspective of these chasers. It's good to look back.

Actually I have psychological issues including multiple personality disorder. I apologize with the tone of my comment from a month ago, it was not sensitively put. I just like to rebel and cause destruction, that's how I've always been. Mum tells me to stop doing it but that's just me. I was born like that and I'll probably die like that.

@@aspiknf Well you gotta learn and concentrate on what you post on the internet. Just think about you in 5years seeing this comment that you posted with ,,Woohoo go tornado" under a tornado video that claimed 24 lives with it.
