It's worth mentioning that "newer" homes in and around OKC are built to withstand EF-3 tornadoes. Years ago, we would have been looking at far more devastation to these homes. They likely would have been nothing more than piles of rubble. But more importantly, I have yet to hear of any deaths as a result of these storms last night. That is amazing news and shows that Oklahoma has definitely learned from it's past.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these people for getting the help needed and to get their lives back together!

We had multiple tornadoes last night along with high winds. Thankfully our home was spared, but many weren't. We have excellent warning sys. & news reporting to alert people to take shelter.

I live about 2-3 hours SE of Amarillo in Oklahoma, The power went out around 7-8 pm, just came back on about an hours ago

Central Oklahoma has already started severe weather season very early. For you people who find the most insignificant thing to complain about, you might rethink your attitude.
