I’ve always thought that Tori carried Dean. While at times, he seemed like a great dad and family man. Something always made me feel like he was a piss-poor provider. I actually think he got with Tori because he felt like, at some point she would have access to the Spelling fortune. He just always seemed opportunistic. Tori has self-respect and does not always want her mother's money either. She likes to support herself. Unfortunately, she allowed a man to make her feel as small as he was. Now that she has her children she will be fine without Dean, and now we'll see the old Tori again kickin' ass the way she does. On the other hand, Dean will be on a "Where are they now?" special on TV. I hope she stays strong and never goes back to him.

From what I remember, it was because Tori cheated on her husband with Dean and they didn't agree with the situation. Also, Candy has the kids covered. I find it so strange how people are so fixated on the lodging situation. Any parent who has been in an unhealthy or rocky relationship understands that having peace and quiet, and a safe space to rest your head and hang your hat feels palatial and heaven sent. Peace of mind and the feeling that you do not have to walk on eggshells in your own home is such a wonderful feeling and if that means staying in a motel that is $100 a night? They are safe and and have food and whatever they need. She will rise above this circumstance.

Tori is not playing when it comes to her kids, I really hop everything works out for her and her family, she seems like such a sweet person.

They were doomed from the start. She had bad spending habits before Dean, and Candy knew it. Dean is an opportunist, who'd brought out the worst in Tori. She's had earning potential, and she's been given many opportunities to get themselves out of debt; Dean is deadweight. Why she'd keep having children with him, is the burning question. Of course, Candy wouldn't want to see her grandchildren suffer, but it's not fair to make her feel obligated to help Tori. Tori has had tv shows, she's written books, she had a store, products she's endorsed sold like crazy; where did the money go? She's also lived in beautiful homes, and lost them. At what point does Tori accept responsibility for her actions? Dean was the biggest mistake! I'll bet his ex-wife is sitting in a corner, with her feet propped, and the biggest box of popcorn that she could find. For years, they'd justified their infidelity, proclaiming to be undeniable "Soul Mates". He'd practically ignored his first born, as if he didn't exist, after he'd married Tori. They're a mess!

I love TMZ but they shouldn't be covering Ms Spelling's personal life.They should cover her career. Just her career.And her renting a cheap motel isn't relevant.

TMZ drives me nuts but…. They always are first to break the story and are usually spot on.

This girl is so tortured, goes to show it doesnt matter who your daddy is or how rich you grew up, you gotta find a way to generate income on your own.

Candy had helped Tori in the past and gave her a credit card to pay for expenses and the first day Tori spent $20,000 on herself shopping at Rodeo Drive and not one purchase for her children. She was raised spoiled rich and never taught to budget and how can Candy leave her money when she dies if her daughter is going to spend it all the first year. This is a lesson Tori needs to learn before she makes her children homeless from her selfish, reckless spending like a gambler.

Her brother lives a modest life too.

I really admire her. She is trying to do her best for her kids , and totally understand as a mother I will do anything for my daughter , no matter what. Women can be the strong when we put our kids before us. She is teaching her kids that to matter what you are going through always keep going forward.

Staying at a 100.00 motel is fine. The kids are safe and have their mother's love and care. At 100.00 a night it works out to almost 3,000.00 for the month, which is a lot of money for most people.

I think Tori at some point knew the type of person her mother was should have invested her coins wisely, but I also think the mother is wrong for hoarding all their dad’s money not giving her and her brother a decent amount of money to live off of

I dont think its up to the mother to provide for her daughter and grand kids. Not many people in this world are given a million dollars when there father dies. She had been given a whole childhood of wealth and then when all grown up she received a million, That is way more than any of us have ever had..That being said if it were me yes I would of helped my daughter but in this case when is it enough? Maybe she should buy them a modest home to help get them out of the hotel and that again would certainly be more help than most women would get.

@@SuperFilicia Not sure if that is how it "should be". In most countries in Europe for example there are inheritance laws and kids need to get a minimum amount. Mostly it works out that the spouse would get 50 % and the remaining 50 % is split among the kids, so in the Spelling case if there were 500 mill $ as is said that would have left Tori with 125 mill $. Instead she received 800.000. Yes she has to learn how to manage money, agreed to that, but what she inherited was a joke. Cannot understand that Aaron Spelling was so far removed from reality that he thought 800.000 will set each of his kids up for life.

I wish the best for her. She’s been through enough. Leave her alone. People have been very mean to her.

Why will her mother not just buy her daughter a house and call it a day. Jesus! She is BEYOND wealthy and a parent should always look out for their child

Candy bought Tori and Dean a house a few years back before Tori had her third baby.

People need to understand that Tori is NOT financially responsible. She has stated this herself in interviews. She HAD millions, and SPENT millions and is probably in debt. Helping her isn’t as easy as one would think. If her mother does help, the money CAN NOT be given directly to Tori, and Tori may not except that clause. Furthermore it is not her mothers responsibility to financially support Tori and her five kids.

She reminds me of my Mom. When my dad died, she didn't want to share anything. Took all three houses and sold them. I did get my dad's comic book collection but the houses and $500,000 was not shared with me or her grandkids. But Tori's mother is in a whole different ballpark because She has been incredibly stingy, considering she has over 100 million dollars!! Tori got only $1 million of that. If she was his daughter she should have got at least 20 million or more for inheritance. That's what I would have done if I was the parent and had the money

I'm pretty sure Candy has been helping support her for years since neither of them has worked that much and they have always lived above their means.

It seems that Candy is the one who pays the rent and bills for Tori and Dean. Additionally, it appears that Candy is also funding their children's private school education and potentially even their $100 hotel stays.

Maybe if she didn’t cheat on her first husband, thinking the grass was greener on the other side, she’d actually be in a happy and loving marriage/household.

It's a "control" thing. Grandma is too broken to be a grandmother. All these old people trying to humble their kids and grandkids. There is so much more to learn about the world than the "struggle." Tori is a loving mom and her kids are so sweet and decent. She has excellent taste too. P.s. I can't wait to be a grandmother. My daughter knows I'M the babysitter...wherever..whenever. I WILL DO IT ALL...if my daughter needs a break. She just needs to have them and nurse them. Grandma's got it. ❤❤❤❤

Although its not Candy's problem to bail out Tori. Tori is her daughter true, but she a grown women with 5 children, she chose her life with Dean against all others opinions and thoughts, so when Tori made those adult decisions, she told mom to butt out, she was able to make her own decisions. Tori was born with money yes, but when you have children you stop buying crap you really don't need, Tori has tons of stuff in storage that costs her big money, sell it or dump it in a charity and get rid of the big storage bills. I love Tori, really I do but she has to learn big isn't better, money isn't where you are happiest, children in a small cozy home is where the family love knitts it self around everyone, big houses are cold and isolated for each person, so no one gathers in one place like a small living room. Leave the expensive stuff in the past and just live simply, it's much easier. And better for you and your children. Teaching them to work hard for what they want out of life makes them responsible and to respect themselves for what they can do, not what's given to them. Woow slow down on the negative comments about Candy, Tori's mom, Candy DID NOT say she would not help her daughter, in fact Candy said just the opposite, so no bashing of Candy, Tori's mom.

Tori has been saying there's a mold issue at her home for a while. I'm not convinced she's really staying at the hotel.

It's not weird. It doesn't belong to Tory. That's probably all the money Tory has. You can't claim money that's doesn't belong to you. Even if your parents are rich. That's Candy's money. It was legally left to Candy. She inherited it.
