I understand both parties. I understand that is hard for the good "academic" Tori Amos fans. For me it is wonderful. It is one of the few moments in her career where she allowed herself to do something light, easy and maybe even funny with her work. That for me makes it outstanding, and (how strange) brings tears in my eyes. Because it is such a relief. I looove (!!) the original Talula (the whole Pele actually), but I see this more like the wise women taking up an old photograph and immediately understanding it - likely better than at the time it was shot, but smiling at it with so much love for this part of her life (like a mother). And no, she still values this song indeed.

Ive watched this over and over. I love this version.

Sorry this is 4 years late, but it's my favourite at the moment. I love the Casio keyboard kinda smoke filled bar-room vibe if you know what no mean. 😍😍

It's very interesting to me that some comments about not liking it are down at the very bottom, despite having more upvotes than your positive comment. I wonder what kind of manipulation is involved in that. I'm guessing there is a sorting mechanism which notices they include the words "wretched" and "awful" and is sort of hiding them as a result.

Nah, she can try new stuff, but that doesn't mean it'll always be successful. This song is a perfect example of that.

For people, like she and myself, from the analogue synth era this old school Casio sound sounds great and brings up lots of memories of that time. I think it's a generational thing. I absolutely love this. Below her not!

It's good she has so many different versions so we can all have another option.. I like this, but it is not my favorite, probably.. It's pretty 'rockin'' at 3:57!

This is pretty awful. I love talula, but that Casio keyboard backing track and her scratchy ass vocals really ruined it for me. A lot her songs she's ereworked on this tour have been hit or miss. Riot poof and iieee were amazing, but this one is a no for me.
