Same here...instant chills and tears from certain songs like "Winter." Juliard threw her out because she supposedly "sat wrong" at the piano. What dumb asses.

That is a Bösendorfer Imperial Concert Grand piano and it costs about 570k dollars. They ain't cheap! They are one of the most expensive modern piano's you can buy.

Don't think there's a more beautiful & talented woman on earth.

Tori is absolutely stunning, raw and exquisite, on fire! Matt is a thunderstorm on drums, Jon taut then booming on bass --- all so in sync for such power! She slams the hypocrisy of "Christian boys", then at 3:54 when she hits her piano board and calls out those "Grrrrls!" from her depths, so is so breathtaking, charged -- I would follow this Valkyrie into any battle! I could watch this, experience this forever! Lost count how many times I've seen this performance, moves me, hits my core, every moment to the last sonic boom!

Most talented artist that ever graced the earth - how glad am I we shared the planet at the same time!

She got me through those formative high school years 25 years ago... Today she is still just as good. I will forever be a huge fan! Still nothing out there that comes close to touching the talent she posses! Simply Amazing !

What a great New Year (2022) present - discovery this to me unknown talent - but I am 78! Thank you Tori for being in our world!

I think her writing and expressiveness actually saved lives of desperate people in distress from life(suicides). It has the comforting sound of recognition of one’s own misery and suffering.

Tori, like Jimi Hendrix, has parentage from another planet. Her vocal control on its own is enough to prove that. Add in the KILLER piano at the same time and game over. Simply one of the most gifted and expressive artists ever. Inspired!

Amazing, she seems almost possessed by the angst and energy of the memory of the circumstances of this song. So mesmerizing, so heartbreaking!

Matt is such a monster musician. One of the best drummers ever...which is why he plays with Tori of course.

❤️‍🔥 Epic performance ❤️‍🔥It’s 2023 im 36 yrs old and just yesterday I discovered who this woman is. After watching this video Tori Amos put a spell on me and now I’m completely obsessed 😂🥰 This is my fav thou what a amazing powerful artist.

Still the most amazing performance of this song that I've ever heard. Tori is The Queen. LUV. When I hear this version, I gave to play it at least three times in a row, loud. The universe was backing her up on this one.

I wish I could be that microphone. Saw her live in Vancouver when she did her "Plugged" tour for the first time. The energy was amazing. After the concert, I had to drive back home for two hours. Cannot remember what time I got home, but I had to wake up at 4:30 the next day for work. Totally worth it!

Why isn't she known as much as she is amazing..I almost forgot all about her ..I cried because I listened to her when I was in my darkest and rose above now dark again and somehow lost but back again

I got into Tori when I was about 14 years old, was lucky to see her live when I was 17, then fell out of touch when my musical tastes evolved slightly during uni, however, at 46, I am dying to see her again live, I have been following close up footage of her on the internet for a while, her magic on stage, she is absolutely gorgeous, so sexy in every single interpretation of her songs, she puts her mark on every song to make it unique, such a powerful musician bringing the piano to the forefront with rock, not your classic rock n' roll band, but my god, she's amazing, her voice is exquisite, such a creative woman/artist/singer/songwriter. Her first 3 albums are true genius works of art. Just wish she would come back to Australia, it's been 30 years!!!

You might enjoy Ocean to Ocean. It's my favorite album of hers in a very long time. In any case, I hope you get to see her again. Saw her at Chateau San Michelle at the tail end of her last tour, and she was as incredible as ever. Leaves everything on the stage. Huge amount of respect for her as a performer, feminist, and a role model for performers everywhere. Such a wise soul.

This place looks like the beacon theater in NYC. I saw her there recently. I know this sounds shallow but Tori’s eye makeup is FABULOUS She’s looking so good here

24 years ago I met a woman named Sara Hollister in an open mic at the Brass Ass bar in Chicago. We were instant buddies and soon we realized both of us loved Tori. I'm a pianist and singer and so was she. We soon began working on Tori songs with me on piano and her singing. I provided harmony on almost every word. We wanted to CSN her songs and we sounded like angels when we sang together. She was involved with men, none of which loved her the way she needed and her bandmates (she always sang in bands, writing her own music) didnt want to help her pursue her dream. I was not the best musical partner either. I was caught up with my own stuff. She had been drinking regularly, very heavily, for many years and one night in 2007, I said to her, "Sara, you dont drink like the others, are trying to Janis yourself?" She replied "is there anything else you want to ask me?" I said no, and from that moment on I knew what her goal was. In 2012, she mixed our Tori demo by herself without me and I was livid. I didnt speak to her again until 2017 spring. We had phone conversations until June. On the 15th, a friend called me and asked if I'd seen sara. I said I talked to her on the phone a few days ago and he said "you need to see her right now. She's in hospice." I thought to myself, she finally did it. I told him I had a gig at the piano bar that night. I felt she would want me to go to it. That night I felt like two people playing and singing. The next day me and a friend went to see her. The visitors log had a thousand names on it. She had so many friends. We spent 8 hours with her at the hospice unit. The next morning, her boyfriend called me and said "Sara left the building at 9:25 am." It was Sunday, June 17th, 2017. Tori brought us together and we stayed friends for 20 years playing her music together. THANK YOU TORI! Sara and George.

I totally forgot about this phenomenal album! I thank Rick Beatos for bringing it back to my attention. It's exactly what I need right now! My piano playing was getting stale!

Still one of the best things on YT after 10 yrs, intense !! Fuckin' incredible performance by the Tori & the band.

For me it is a recent and late discovery. She is unique. She inspires a mix of fascination for her music with falling in love with her physique, her mannerisms and her energy.

She played such an important part of my young life in the 90s. Better late than never! Her music transcends time.

Like someone once said Tori had a story to tell and she shared allof it with us....she definitely is on another level....

There is and will only ever be one Tori Amos! The music that she creates with just a piano and her voice is mind blowing! She absolutely kills it on the piano and then there’s that voice… my god that voice! Another thing that I just love about Tori is watching her facial expressions as she sings; her concerts are as much a theatrical performance as they are musical performances and she just pours herself into her performance EVERY TIME! She was lumped in with other female singers of the 90’s but her music was so cutting edge that it is basically its own genre.

She was ahead of her time. Her lyrics...beyond relevant.

Not dissing the generations that followed, but no one can quite write a piano riff as hauntingly beautiful as Tori. Made me put on my headphones... then I came.

She is genius

One of the greatest singer, writer, keyboard, composer, creator artists to ever walk the earth. Amazing artist. Stunning. Always a shocking contrast of heaven and hell with passion exploding throughout. Unsettling and soul soothing, disturbing and healing. One of a kind. One in a trillion.

I bought a tape of hers back in the early 90s and it had this song as well as Winter. I loved her style then and love it now. The sound she gets from her piano is lovely. She has a unique beautiful voice. She sings difficult songs that others would struggle with. She owns it.
