Yes, I agree this VHS should be repackaged as a DVD. You can get it on amazon, but you have to own a VCR. The title is: Tori Amos - Live From New York [VHS] (1997). The distributors behind Tori are underestimating the demand for her live concerts. They give us Montreux which is somewhat satisfying for seeing the L.E. era, but if they were smart like Bjork's money machine, they would release a DVD from every album she has toured. UTP, BFP, FTGH, TVAB and SLG tours would be amazing on DVD!

I have this vhs from what seems like forever ago and i used to watch it EVERY single day.

One thing Id criticise her for is losing Steve Caton, he was her Paddy Bush, Robin Guthrie, Jon Mckeoh and Lindsey Buckingham.

I love Tori, I absolutely adore her. So please don't think that I am just trying to be mean, I'm not going to let my love for her and her music blind me into saying that this was a good performance. It was cringey as hell, but at least it was not nearly as awful embarrassing as the way she did on the coda of "Precious Things" this night in Madison Square Garden . It's OK if she had a little too much of something, I'm not mad or judging her, I understand, we all have our days. But if anyone calls this performance "Great! Amazing! Awesome!" you're ridiculous. You are in a blind denial, or you're either lying , or you're deaf, or you know nothing about music, or you're just being argumentative or you're just stupid. The flow of the song is broken up, fragmented and stretched out here. It is only the same repetitive riff of 2 measures of fingered notes over and over that she is playing throughout the verses and chorus. She sings a couple of lines of the lyrics and then stops singing as she continues to play 2 more sets of those 2 measures worth of notes of that same repetitive riff, when instead of flowing the lyrics together to smoothly connect. I just so glad that her studio tracks don't sound like this. I won't say that this wasn't entertaining. It was certainly memorable. It was not amazing but it was amazingly f'ed up. It gave me a great laugh as I'm rolling over in the floor. And I don't deny that she's great, she's one of my very favorites. She is beyond professional, but this was not a professional performance. The studio album cut gives me the chills of pleasure through my ears to my heart and all over my body from its perfectly crafted beauty. This however, gives me a big laugh mixed with a feeling of embarrassment, jonesing like a Martian, trying to get me a backstage pass, I really want to have some of what she's been in tonight.

Evans blue cover is much better! Instead of losing a Boyfriend he lost a SON!!!

I luv this chick, but she's gotta' stop butchering songs that aren't hers.

Can't stand her voice. Just sayin. I couldnt listen past 3:00 mins my ears are still ringin. Gave me a headache.:( the evans blue cover is much MUCH better!
