needs to move more, the tennis player waits for the ball to come to him while he is standing still, he needs some footwork, who plays tennis in real life knows that ... in top spin 4 the tennis player was much more lively and the movement was more fluid... we are 2 generations ahead of video games and topspin 4 continues to be the best game so far... although the game seems to be really cool to play ,but for the price they offer, I think it could have done more... I hope that things will improve by launch but im still gonna buy it cuz I love topspin... I know we are demanding, but we pay high prices for games and we expect the experience offered to be at least goo.

I agreed with you. The players are standing almost still waiting for the ball to come to him. Thats what I noticed. In TS4, there's no moment like that, the players are lively and keep on moving. I think the animation of TS4 still better. I hope that in the actual game launch, they will correct that.

I have been playing on topspin4 for about 8 years. I still play and I can tell you that the form and other aspects of the players have not changed much. But the graphics have evolved, so I am looking forward to the new game👍🏻

it's not a good tennis game. It looks like 70 years old guys playing tennis in my local club. So slow... Even at twice the speed, it doesn't look good in youtube. This game is gonna fail hard because of this lack of punch, it's not TopSpin2K25 but TopSpin1970. Also: surfaces have no difference in bounce, and it's the same spin everywhere for every player. For a game called "top spin", it's pathetic. Should be called PickleBall

I'm loving this

I have been playing on topspin4 from 2016 to this year and nothing seems to have changed in my basic form lol.

You can moan about the graphics, but it won't change the fact that this is the best tennis game on current gen consoles (unless Tiebreak makes an unexpected turnaround). Also it has the 4 Grand Slams, something that for some reason doesn't happen very often in tennis games. It leaves AO Tennis 2, Tennis World Tour 2, Matchpoint - Tennis Championships and Tiebreak in the dust.

My biggest complaint is sound design, it’s incredible how much realism it gives to the game having a good sound design, they could’ve really added real grunts, different ball hit sounds according to different stadiums and surfaces. Anyway, since we haven’t had a decent tennis game for a while, I guess this is as good as it gets at the moment

The sound design might not be "Codemasters car sound design level" (Which in my opinion is the most impressive sound design in gaming to date) but it's not terrible... it's passable... sure the grunts might not be top notch but they're not nearly as bad as people make them out to be... they're just fine and not great...

2 questions.. 1- can we still serve with the right joystick ? 2- is it like before? its power shot with holding a button and precise shot for pressing one time at the good time.

Will you be able to download community creations? For example if Djokovic isn’t it in the game can I download a fan creation of him ?

The game will be polished until release... and when the real masters start playing it, only then will they see its glory... yes, it can be better, of course it can, but this game will be released in sequels, and we must ensure it with our support for the franchise to continue, and thus the upgrade of the game itself...just an example...NBA 2K24 has only now introduced ProPlay...it is important that the game is back...

Agree. We waited so long for the comeback of the series. I'm fine with the gameplay and that is all that matters for now. This game is obviously made for last gen but maybe we can see a bigger visual enhancement in the next game if it sells decent. I will support it of course.

@@z76par83 AO Tennis 2 I’m really enjoying. The game punishes you more for mistimed shots and you can make precise shots where you want instead of a general area. There’s some awkwardness in movement sometimes comparing with Topspin but it feels nice overall and the challenge is good so far.

@@jgooner894 AO Tennis is only enjoyable online cause the AI is DOGSHIT... and the online matches are a laggy mess and really hard to find a good match cause you play with random people and most of them are so much worse than me that they disconnect after the first 5-6 points... so no... AO Tennis 2 is dogshit...

I'm hoping we'll be able to adjust game speed like in other 2k games because it looks slow compared to actual tennis.

I'm not a huge tennis follower. Don't really watch it much but do enjoy it in video game form. This actually looks good. A lot smoother than past games at least. Hopefully it's an in depth career. Might not look good to tennis enthusiasts but to me I'm actually kinda excited.

That sounds good and bad in same time , good cause they are way better than any other recent tennis game of last years like AO Tennis 1/2 , TWT 1/2 Matchpoint, Tie break and bad because its not a success to have same animations with a game 12 years old and 2 generations back..Ok so far i like it , i want to see doubles , custom online matches and not only matchmaking and crossplay online cause tennis games have not large player's base . .. Community downloadable creations for the non-licensed players would be cool and also custom court's creator..

Sorry I disagree. Animations are not identical with TS4. In TS4, players have footwork even when waiting for the ball to come to him. In here, the player needs some footwork in that moment. But still the game is very good. But it could be excellent if they have the quality of TS4 animation or even better.

EA WRC released with a shitload of content, 78 cars, 18 rallies and 600km of stages while offering very very very good driving mechanics (which people love to shit on saying they're not "realistic" while most of these people drive the car completely wrong)... the old WRC game, from small studio Kyloton was WRC Generations and in that game the fucking THROTTLE was not functioning properly... and yet people still say about how "good" and how "better" WRC Generations was and how trash EA WRC is... they praise a game that the most basic function of a car was NOT WORKING PROPERLY... the THROTTLE... up to 80% it did nothing... I see the same thing with all the big studios... yes they do their bullshit... but I dare someone to tell me that a better looter shooter than Ubisoft's The Division 2 exists... or a better tactical shooter than the Ghost Recon games... the Monster Hunter games are masterpieces and they're from Konami... there's a ton of games from big studios that are great and many that are bad... but people love to shit on the good and the bad... giving bullshit feedback in the process to the devs...

Pretty sure they are cause I’ve seen a target symbol come up in gameplay.

This looks promising, despite its imperfections. My dream is to see Becker, Edberg and Lendl added to the roster. Would love to relive my tennis childhood with these stars. Sampras, McEnroe, Agassi and Sampras are already there, which is great. Serve and volley tennis was the best!

The grunting is the same for all players? This can be should a real gruntings for every player.. its easy to make

The more I look at this, the more it looks like a mobile game graphics 😑

The animation needs so much work! The NBA2K games have such amazing animations with the actual athletes getting into the motion capture suit, giving us an authentic experience of what controlling the athlete would look and feel like. I hope they can still manage to correct this before release. The game just looks so goofy with pro players having these horrendous looking strokes.

I think the characters looks fine and well modelled. Their clothes, shoes etc, they are very good too. Maybe the issues with others are their faces. They should be at least looks very similar to their counterparts. The expectators or audiences are fine to me, the stadiums are ok, the court surfaces are ok too. The net and its animation is fantastic. For me the developer did a good job. Developer should try to add additional footworks while waiting for the ball and smoothen the animations specially the transitions. Normally, tennis players has footworks even when waiting for the ball. Make TS4 a good example for this extra footworks. Also in clay court, I dont see any created foot marks while playing. There are some footmarks automatically created but not due to the foot of the player. While characters are playing, its very common that sometimes feet are off the ground, for me, maybe make the distance from the ground a little bit higher, just a little bit higher. I almost cant see how high feet are off the ground. With regards to lighting, is it a little bit intense? I dont know maybe I am wrong, but sometimes lighting on the crowed is too intense that the color already washout. Sweat are present in TS4, its a good idea that this could be injected too in TS2k25. I really love the cloth animations. I can see how the skirts moves on air while the player moves. Hair animation is good too. Ball physics is also very good to me. The ball seems to have weight that follows the rule of gravity. I am not sure if the ball has some horizontal curve while travelling on air. Normally ball has vertical curve like what we see now, but horizontally, I dont know, I cant see it from the available videos. This is not the release version so I am hoping that the release version will be better.

I hope they have the licenses for the 4 gs

I wish you could change the scoreboard to show the full surname rather than the first three letters only. It would match the current day scoreboards better

Game needs to be faster. Something about the shot animation and the traversal of the ball just looks a little off to me. Maybe im nitpicking, but i dont like the bar that tells you you hit a great shot. And the perfect shot i have on the game play does not look great, lol. Hoping for improvements and still looking forward to the game

Exactly, sometimes the ball feels slow and players tend to hit deep in the court and not define the point. There are some details to polish, top spin 3 and 4 I still feel like they are better, but this is the way. positive things are seen

You see that most players don‘t understand spacing like in real tennis.

Everything except the gameplay looks like Xbox 360 or PS3. But the gameplay makes a very good impression. I hope they release a demo first.

I will buy it but not new.

Hopefully they plan to do some updates but I think it’s a good starting point. I’d like to see more of the players unique shot motions more. I think the detail on everything else is good. I like little things as simple as the right over grip color, and it looks like they paid attention to that.

The NIL stuff may not work the same as it does with other sports. It might be more expensive to license these brands. It’s no different than a racing game not being able to license Daytona or 2K not being able to license Madison Square Garden for the Knicks.

Okay, I understand you, it is not a very high-end production. But it is much better than the tennis games on the market. This game is nothing more than 2K's innovation to the previous game in order to test the market. Wait for next year for better. Trust me!

Trust me guys. You have to try full ace tennis simulator. It's 500 times more good than any other tennis game, even top spin 4 and for sure will be better than top spin 5 (not that it takes that much). Phisics is perfect, as real tennis and for those who consider it a robotic games well, go play virtua tennis bahahahah😊
