Trev a little advice about drop shots: drop shots are most effective landing just past the net and dropping dead. This forces your opponent to come up to the net and hopefully not get there in time which is the goal. The drop shot is also more effective the closer you are to the net (can try it as a volley on net play). Hope this helps love the series bro!

A let is when a serve hits the net and bounces in to the correct box and it results in a re-serve instead of a fault so the server can do their first serve again if the let happened on a first serve

Another tip: Try to position your player to hit the ball at about waist level after it bounces. You tend to be too close to the place that the ball bounces, so your player hits a weaker shot that sits up higher for the opponent to destroy.

Advice: When you are on defensive lob the ball this will give you the most time. Most of the time if you are lobbing hit it to their backhand. this will make sure they don't hit an overhead from the baseline. their will probably be an even chance when you hit it to their forehand when lobbing they will hit a overhead from the baseline. That will depend on how aggressive the player is. They wont try to hit an overhead when it goes to their backhand they will just do a high backhand. Lobbing also helps to get your opponent out of the net.

Power slice serve from right to left, works a treat

Trev you might think it is all about stamina but honestly doing power shots on every shot is much more effective. If you watch some of the top online players on this game you will see they always hit power shots

Trev you should try the Advanced serve, it's with the right joystick! few practise sessions and its a game changer. You'll get many more aces and faster serves once you learn that technique.

Trevor, if you listen too the sound off the rackets,you can hear when he hits the ball,if it a drop shot,sounds lower and even hits on the rims

I don’t know if you’re looking at your opponents stats or not, but you should be. It will help you know how to play against them.

One thing I noticed is that when you push up to the net, you keep going forward after each shot and get closer to the net. After 2-3 shots, you're all up on the net, but that's too close and you can easily be countered. You want to stay away from the net a bit, so you have more room to run around.
