Your team will eventually ask you if you want to stay a 2-way player or if you want to pick a position. Just let MG6 pick center field. Managers don't want to start a player in center field if they want to use them later as a closer - too much potential arm fatigue. Choosing a starting pitcher would get you more batting time, but with a closer it will be a lot less

As a two way player, starting pitcher/shortstop, i had to talk to my agent to say i want to be in the pitching rotation or pitch occasionally and field and bat in between appearances. I got drafted by the Giants , so i can be a starting pitcher & a DH hitter in the same game which is awesome

Didn't see this comment at first, think I posted a similar thing. I went with the once every few weeks starting pitcher thing, just going off my experiences in past RTTS. Playing it this year, I plan to go regular rotation just as soon as the game gives me the option.

I got all A’s in the combine, went 5-5 every game, hit multiple homers, had zero errors, and went 16th in Round 2. I think the SDS “thing” of you never being able to drafted 1st let alone in the first round persists. I don’t get it. It’s so dumb. 🙄 Also when you’re seated on the bench at the draft, they announce your placement then.

Mighty idk if you’ve been suggested this but you should make a pitcher and a outfielder separate and combine the two in the videos( or have them as separate players). Either way love the videos keep it up man

My build for 2 way is starting pitcher and infielder (will work with outfield too). You will play everyday in field or DH and then be in rotation and even when u pitch u still DH that game

​@domEd_JR Automatic! But bit of advice of you want to be left hand don't pick Catcher as your 2nd position idk why, but it locks u into being right handed if u do. It's weird because I was a lefty catcher last game and now you can't be lefty. So I had to choose CF as my 2nd position. Ofc ignore if yo don't want to be lefty pitcher 😂. But yeah I've thrown no Hitters and hit HR in the same game. But the 5 games in between starts you'll play the position a few times and some games at least for me I'm just the DH and don't field.

Legend has it that Mighty Goat is still trying to find his draft position. BTW It was during the show that you skipped.

I did the same, put it on beginner. I hit .833 with 11 HR’s 23 RBI. I had 9 throw outs (Center Field), Aced both the hitting and fielding drills. And still went 2nd round. I don’t think it’s possible

It says during the daft moment. Volume must have been muted and you can see a little bit @ 27:10 on the screen. 2nd Rd pick. I always start the year playing on dynamic difficulty but I noticed this year, dynamic is broken. It never increases. Through the first 3 series, I'm hitting .700+ with nearly 30 HRs already. I'll have to change it to All-Star when I get back on.

If you're a closer and you hit. Its because you scrwed up. You wanna hit and pitch you have to be a starter. Not sure how you thought that would work otherwise 🤣

I usually enjoy the pitching more and have found I end up hitting more than I pitch whenever I make a 2-way player. I've now settled on multiple RTTS players MLB title.

Odd that you didn't get to bat when you were playing 2-way. I think it may have been because you were set up as a closer? My guy is a shortstop/starting pitcher, and he gets to do plenty of batting. He even hit DH in one of the games he started, though they changed that up in his later games. My guy's mainly a shortstop, but pitches every couple of weeks or so. I plan to change that back to being a regular starter just as soon as it gives me the option. I'll see how that affects things then.

In years past, if you decline to sign after the first combine, they gave you a certain amount of attribute points to use and then you do the combine over as a college freshman. I think you could decline to sign two or three times and you usually got drafted higher since you had a higher overall from the attribute points and were an older prospect. I haven’t played 2023 or 2024 so not sure if that’s still an option. I assume so if they give you the chance to not sign.

If you want pitching as well as two way play. Make your player a starter so u can pitch a decent amount in one outting and then u don’t pitch for another 4-5 games and u will field and or dh

I'm convinced no matter what you do in the combine and no matter the difficulty setting, it's just RNG for what round and pick you go. I did the same thing as you, dominated the combine, but was told i would be going 6-7 and wasn't even invited to the Draft in person

I was picked rd 3 pick 15 and didn’t get the different cutscene so maybe top 2 rds get it but not bad being on all star for it

I’m gonna go as a two way starting pitcher & shortstop. My usual choice I’m able to hit more & pitch occasionally.

There is a cut scene where they have you choose your pitching/batting balance

I was drafted 10 round, and still won playoff mvp and world series mvp my 1st full season in the Majors. Draft round don't matter.

You should work on speed during your training in-between games to boost your range in center field. You can't boost your speed if you don't do base running.

Put centerfielder as primary position and closer as secondary position for MG6 also stay a switch -hitter

You should look into making your secondary position a pitcher maybe that’s why your pitching is better

Go with this rtts. The two way player one is going to be rough. Then you can still have slider Johnson

In the real world, the Tigers got the 45 pick in rd 2. Back a few years ago you were able to create a fielder and then create a completely different player as a Starting Pitcher. If I got bored I'd even create a 3rd and make him a closer. These days with this game you can't do that any more. I tried last year and all if did was over-ride the 1st player I created putting in that exact same spot only as a SP instead of a RF. I'm so past this "2 way" player stuff already. There is 1, ONE who is a legit 2 way in the MLB and they're still continuing with that nonsense.

Im mine the commissioner said i was drafted with the 10th pick of the second round by the Boston Red Sox. Gameplay was quiet so was hard to tell if he announced it in yours or not.

If you have the commentary audio turned back on then you would have heard it while the draft was happening. They literally say in what round you got picked. But also at 27:10 it says round 2.

Around July of your first season the coach will ask you if you want to change the ratio of pitching and hitting so you can hit more

I haven’t played in years and I did absolutely trash in the combine. I was getting like Cs and Ds. I did great in the games though. I ended up going in like the 5th round somehow.

if you really want to cheat you can turn sliders like human power and contact and fielding up all the way

Two way playing as a starting pitcher and whatever position you decide then they'll ask if you want a regular start spot which is every 5 days and you'll bat 4 days and play your position and pitch 1 day unless if you can bat and pitch this year or you can get a start pitching spot every couple weeks and play the position you more than pitch but it's has to be starting pitching that's how I've been playing

Better to be a starting pitcher instead of closer. This season they put in DH for the pitcher so you will hit those games also.

It seems that no matter how well you do, it almost never projects lower than 15th round after the first event. The best I've ever been drafted is 8th overall. Maybe sliders affect the game? Move the sliders to make it harder and the game compensates? I dunno. Felt like 1st overall is unattainable.

It tells you during the draft cutscene…the draft announcer says something like “With the second pick in the second round, the a tigers select blah blah blah..” I think you were talking over that section and didn’t have the volume up to hear it. Periodically in the game it will show what round you were drafted. You click too much.

My best guess for going number one is having a player premade and at a high overall then doing well at the combine. Might effect the outcome.

How do I know where I was drafted? Maybe if you hadn’t turned down the volume to everything but crowd and sound effects. You would have heard them tell you

For a 2 way player, I would’ve done a starting pitcher. This way you pitch every 5 days.

The highest I’ve gotten so far is Pick #1 in the second round (to San Diego I think). So going in the first round is probably out of the question.

After every game, it shows you what round you were drafted

Someone as probably already told you it shows you where you were drafted after every game your were drafted in the second round

AT THE END F THE FIRST GAME IT SAID YOU GOT 2ND ROUND NUMBER 24 AND THE TIME WAS 27:10

Like with all the show games( that u said you played) draft position is in personal awards/accolades.

In last year's game you were able to choose how much you want to pitch and how much you want to play your position. Maybe thats still possible after a few games into your RTTS save.

Soooo I'm not a enthusiast I like playing more than watching, but my bro is a big fan I literally took a pitcher of her to ask him who she is and is she a bit slow? And I don't mean to be rude or anything it's just so weird having my gaming set on and hearing her especially when I usually just listen to music on my headphones with sports games. I just happened to catch it when she was talking I was like "is my game skipping? It's digital it's not even a CD wtf is going on?"

I thought something was odd too the first time I heard her. Looked her up and learned that she has ALS. She's losing muscle structure in her vocal chords which causes slow speach and tremors. Very sad. ALS is always fatal as well. She has a very slow form of it, but incurable nonetheless.@@alexanderthegreat5649

The highest I got drafted was round number 3 with my first baseman. I got drafted by the Brewers. You have to get drafted in the third round if you want to actually go to the draft. Unless you make a female player, in which case I got drafted in the 5th round and still went to the draft.
