Dude, this is top notch. Your delievery, you dont babble for 30 minutes. Right to the point, short and sweet. You know what the people want to hear. This is how a youtube video should be. And also very transparent of you, to show that the study can have some bias.

Could one alternate between topical and oral finasteride depending on the day? Just thinking if a person cannot for some reason apply the solution on a given day, could they take a pill instead?

Over 50,,,been using topical 0.3% and 6% topical minoxidil. My hair has undergone a tremendous change within 6 months. From a Norwood 3 and getting worse, to a now Norwood 2 and improving. My hair is MUCH thicker, the hairline has improved, and a small bald spot on my crown has filled in. I now get compliments on my hair.

Stopped using anything for 3 years. Then i started using NAC for my pancreas and within a week i had more hair growth than what i got from my whole 2 years on durasteride. Plus my labido was finally back but i think that might of been from the vitamin K2+D3 i started using at the same time.

I was on topical for a month to see if it work. I think it was mainly the minoxidil I used as a solvent but now my hairline is really thick. I say if you’re using topical minoxidil as a treatment, why not crush some finasteride pills and pour it into the mix. Now you’re getting minoxidil to regrow and fin will keep the hair there as long as it can. Only been doing 1ml a day with 0.025. Side effects from stopping Oral fin decrease in a few days for me. libido was stronger, my muscles looked way more full and it look as if I had a constant pump, visions became sharper, and also anxiety decrease, and weight loss is way easier to drop and muscles puts on easy. Both oral fin and oral minoxidil both really fucking suck. Is either limp dick or Heart problems. Can’t believe they’re still selling us these ancient products that we had to resort to switching from oral to topical because of the nasty sides. Pyrilutamide looks really promising and the sides are low. Can’t be FDA approved any sooner.

If you read the study, they used a spray bottle with a cone attached to the nozzle to make sure all of the spray is directed to the head. Each spray was 0.05 mL and depending on coverage needs, allowed up to 4 sprays. If you are applying 1 mL with a dropper, then you are applying a lot more than what was studied. The point of the study seems to be that with a protocol designed to use 20% of the normal topical dosage, similar hair growth can be achieved with a lot less sides.

Maybe Dutasteride would work better for you. Or it could be that you have a different form of hair loss that isn't androgenetic alopecia which would mean Fin and Dut wouldn't do you much good either way. This is what always confused me that no one seems to be able to clearly answer. Some people cite that it treats hair loss right at the source, but that doesn't make sense to me. Unless the absorption is systemic, in other words, if the DHT is created elsewhere in the body then does it even matter if some of the 5AR + Testosterone conversion gets blocked at the hair follicle ?

If you read my question carefully, until now no one has ever explain how topical mechanism works on the scalp. Does it really blocks DHT conversion right at the source of hair follicles? Are there 5-alpha-reductase enzymes at the hair follicles which stops the DHT conversion using topical? You are almost an adult, so I dont think you will grow anymore. You can't shrink from it in any case. 'Any hormonal damage? About testosterone?' Possibly, yes. If you experience side-effects, lower the dosage until you dont experience side effects anymore. Finasteride lowers DHT production, which is hormonal. You can experience erectile dysfunction, pain in scrotum, head ache, etc. I dont think it lowers your testosteron though (it might slightly increase it).

If sexual function is not a big deal to a person, that’s fine, let the person take the hair growth medication, it’s not a guranteed side effect but there’s always a probability that it can happen and because PFS is an unsolved conditions that is currently incurable, we need to press for better informed consent and research for PFS to solve it so everyone can benefit.

One does not need anything close to the 0.25% used in the study. Of course the drug will go systemic. By using anywhere from 0.01-0.02% topically you can get great results (been using this dose for months). Think about it for a second. By applying the low dose finasteride directly on the scalp, you are by passing the process by which the drug is processed in the body. Of course some men will get sides when half or more of their DHT is blocked. You also need to use the topical all over the scalp in order to halt hair loss.

0.25% is a ridiculous dose. You are applying 5mg of Finasteride as most people need 2ml thus 0.01% or 0.025% max for Topical Finasteride and you can even use it every other day. So 0.25mg topically EOD will reduce roughly 25% serum DHT. Quite negligible.

Effectiveness wise, topical finasteride can't be compared with oral finasteride, considering the LONG-TERM roadmap of androgenetic alopecia. They may have similar effectiveness during for 1 year, but in the following years topical finasteride will be a trash, therefore is not long-term treatment medication.

Here’s my question with this. With oral finasteride, it assists in preventing further hair loss in the effected areas AND the potentially future effected areas. With topical finasteride, it is applied only to the effected areas. Does that mean that the non-effected areas will still NOT have any finasteride absorption? OR if we apply topical finasteride on the effected areas, it will automatically spread across our whole scalp when absorbed? Thank you for your video. For all those wanting to by topical Finasteride now after watching one video, do more research, it hasn't been approved by FDA and there's little to no research on it over long period of time. In addition oral fin prevents future hair loss and slows down hair loss you're experiencing right now. When and if you use topical finasteride you only putting it on affected areas which means the rest of hair that doesnt get topical fin on it will still fall out unlike oral that covers entire scalp. I'd suggest you to use oral finestiride and minoxidil together since both are aproved by FDA as best solution for hair loss and there have been studies on both of them as well. If you're afraid to get side affects which I believe mostly placebo go to your dermatologist and get 0.5 mg and if you don't experience anything after few months increase dosage. Don't just go buy first things yall see 🤡🤣

I give 2 shits if topical has been approved by FDA. They’ve approved drugs that end up killing people, then remove. If something works oral, it stands to reason topical will, & less sides. lots of other examples of drugs that worked w/ or w/out FDA approval.

"When and if you use topical finasteride you only putting it on affected areas which means the rest of hair that doesnt get topical fin on it will still fall out unlike oral that covers entire scalp." - incorrect. The topical finasteride still gets absorbed into the bloodstream which is stated in the video. I have personally had similar side effects from topical vs oral finasteride, however I have seen better results from topical.

Says "do more research" and then goes on to spout BS he could have avoided if he did his own research. Also, the FDA approved Fin usage at 1mg a day which all studies show crushes blood level DHT at a simular level of half .25mgs. Moronic indeed.
