Nice review! all the bags are great! Among the four, Craft Cadence is the most secured bag. But for me who loves eating, I'll go for rockbros. It's super easy to open and there was an additional pockets that I can store more snacks 😅

Many thanks for your comment :) Rockbros is good for carrying snacks, not so much for electronics as is not waterproof. It can definitely fit a couple of bags of Haribo because of its volume ^^

I picked up 2 of the small single zipper rock bros.bags slightly used for 8$ each. But like you mentioned in the video I wouldn't trust it with electronics just some snacks and my tool kit. those magnets on the others are sweet! Definitely in the future! Great comparison.

This is a great video - it's like "Project Farm," but for bicycle bags.

Excellent video, you clearly put a lot of work into this review! I'd probably go for the rockbros one, can't justify spending so much money just to save 100g 😂

many thanks for your comment :) if you go for the rockbros maybe try the smaller size, my main point with it was that is not waterproof.

Good work. I'm glad that you quantified the Leg Rubbing and Stability aspect of these bags. I've been looking at one of these bags solely for my first-aid kit. I'll have to see if I can fit one on my top tube with my small 2.5L triangular frame bag below it.

Many thanks for your comment William, I am glad to hear you found the video useful :) top tube bags are really good, one of my favorite items. Depending of the size of the first aid kit should fit in the Apidura or the Craft Cadence bag.

@@Buzzalong.cycling, it looks like my first-aid kit is going to be too big (7cm x 17cm x 21cm), and that's packed down already. I found these dimensions for the Craft Cadence bag: 5.0cm x 11.0cm x 20.5cm. I'll have to go back to keeping it in my rear-carrier top bag.

@@MrJx4000: Yes, it might be too big for the bag looking at the dimension. When I carry a first aid kit I also take it on my frame bag. Maybe you can have a look at these Osprey Washbag Roll Toilettes nice to keep the first aid kit organized, I am thinking about buying one myself to keep inside my frame bag.

This is great! I desperately need a new top tube bag as the one I have fails every metric it's so useless!! Was looking between Craft Cadence and Apidura, but I do have an Apidura front bar bag and that is also hopeless and doesn't work so was hoping thir top tube is better designed! Thanks, very useful

3:50 decathlon has a 1L Riverside Waterproof Top Tube Bag that is similar to the Apidura bags, except it gives you both the options to bolt on or strap on.

Unfortunately the Apidura bolt on didn't work on my gravel bike, they seem to be designed for road bikes with steeper head tube angles (the stem got in the way of trying to bolt the bag onto the bike). Just ordered a Salsa EXP top tube bag which seems to have some leeway with the bolt holes, so I'm hoping that one will work

Sorry to hear that, i had I had a similar issue with it, was not really stable. let me know how you find the Salsa one :)

  • @drouleau

@@Buzzalong.cycling Well it's not that it wasn't stable, it was I couldn't physically attach the bag to the bike as the holes wouldn't line up, with the stem being in the way due to the slackened head tube angle :). Hopefully I get the Salsa in a few days.

Be careful with the strap models as the Velcro may rub against your bib shorts and if it does they will be destroyed rather quickly.
