Honestly, I didn't really like the new Sphinx, it's easily dying of Lightning Strike, Helix and any removal. I wish it had 4/4, not 5/3. In my opinion, this is a mediocre card. I liked the new green Wurm with flash more(didn't try/record it yet).

It's a tempo card that fits very well with High Noon. Once they waste their 1 spell on their turn, Sphinx can be flashed in and protected by HIgh Noon. I don't think it shines when stuck directly in a normal control shell, Whale would be a better candidate. That being said, at 4, it competes with too many cards right now. Probably see more of it after rotation.

Hey Sonio, love seeing the UW control as always... Surprised to hear that you haven't been loving the Sphinx as I've been having good luck with it especially if opp taps out and it gets hexproof back

Maybe buff the sphynx with Zealot's Conviction which is also flash card? Or use Cemetary Protector instead?

What colors are you playing? You can Mirrorshell Crab the Rigging when it's cast or when it tries to flip.
Ever deck i have problem with lands
Sphinx when I saw the spoiler : Meh Sphinx when I start building : Oh yeaah baby, you can't do anything about it. Sphinx when people don't tap out on T4 with a removal, or have wrath : Meh.
The first game was prolly 7/8 min just cause of such slow interaction from opponent

Just long control counter games... UW control are boring strategy/matches. You just have to wait, counter and win with Emperor tokens or Mirrex/Manlands pressure
