Capacity counts depending on where you are and what your crime stats are like. Here in South Africa you are almost guaranteed to have 4 guys or more trying to rob or attack you. Sometimes up to 15 breaking into a house. Some countries or areas you only have one criminal with a wooden spoon so choose what you carry wisely.

Lol the wooden spoon line had me laughing! But yeah you are right on the money about that. With a home invasion it's usually 2-3 guys and your 5-6 shot revolver is gonna really hinder you

I recently purchased a Smith 342 airlite Ti 11oz !! (Similar to the centennial except for titanium cylinder) .. I installed hogue monogrips.. covers the back strap.. cushions my hand and absorbs recoil.. and I can get all my fingers on the grip.. I can now hit targets accurately out to 50 ft with my little 11 oz snub.. I carry it in my right pocket of my jeans in a DeSantis Nemesis holster I can draw extremely fast from the pocket.. and if I feel threatened I can have my hand in My Pocket the grip of the gun in my hand ready to draw (finger off trigger)

My current carry is a TT-33 built by the Tula Arms Plant in 1942. My carry used to be my great grandfather's M1911A1 from WWII, but it was old, and beat up by the time I got it, and it doesn't like newer types of ammo. I'm looking at a Makarov PM to replace my TT-33 since the TT-33 is aging rather badly, and is completely worn down. I had a Luger P08 built in 1923, but I had to sell that to make my house, car, gas & electric, water, and cable bills. I wanted to carry the Luger as my carry gun, but it seemed too bulky, and I couldn't find a concealed holster that would fit it.

I just purchased a Glock 45 9mm for my conceal and carry. At work, we are issued Glock 22 .40 cal. I am so used to a full size duty weapon, I don’t mind a duty size gun as my conceal and carry. I also hate smaller handguns with smaller grips. It just feels weird in my hand. I really like the M&P 2.0’s. They feel very comfortable in my hand and that’s what I was originally going to purchase but it sold the day before I went in. The Glock 19 was #2 on my list but then the guy showed me the Glock 45. I loved everything about it. It felt great in my hand, I liked that it held more rounds and loved the new features. The slide lock on both sides, and a few other things. I will now be buying my wife one of these soon. She too really liked it. Smaller revolvers I do like to carry as a secondary conceal and carry gun though.

I use a revolver. The only things that could stop operation are getting something tangled in the hammer or poor quality ammo with a bad crimp causing the bullets to "pull" from the vases under recoil. This causes the bullet heads to stick out of the cylinder and stop rotation. Always check for this with whatever ammo you carry. Shoot a round or two and check the unfired ammo. I've actually seen tests where even expensive buffalo bore .38 special had bullet pull problems which seemed related to their soft lead.

Though I have carried many of these guns on this list (or at least shot them before) I'd say my preffered every day carry is the Springfield XDM 3.3" Compact. The compact mag holds 13+1 in 9mm or 11+1 of .40 S&W. If you find yourself in big trouble, the full sized mag holds 19+1 9mm or 16+1 .40 S&W. If you own the .40 cal version, it only costs about $130 bucks for a .357 Sig barrel. The large mags have grip extensions to make it a full sized grip. It's a versatile platform, and advantage arms even makes a .22lr conversion kit as well.

Deep conceal, pocket, IWB, whatever I need it is great. I’m all in on the gun including pierce extensions, holsters and even a belt for less than 500 brand new. I know the shield faction and glock guys go back and forth, but the fact that I can easily pocket carry the gun in slacks was a huge selling point to me. I fully recommend the gun to anyone and I think you do yourself a disservice if you don’t at least check it out before you make this extremely essential purchase.

I live in Florida, I am retired and I am in shorts and tee shirt most of the year. Since I bought my Ruger LCRx .38 special it has never left may side. I carry it in a belt slide OWB holster and pull tee shirt over top of it. I also carry one speed strip in my left front pocket. I agree revolvers are the best for conceal carry, but I love my Sig P226. It is very reliable, it's accuracy is more scary than the 40 caliber rounds it uses. Yes it kicks a little but it's pretty lightweight for a 40 cal and it is pretty big. I like the capacity it carries 12 rounds plus 1 in the chamber. In my honest opinion the Sig P226 is by far my favorite carry semi auto firearm.

So, no Shield? I remember a video that you said the only problem with this gun is that "It's not a Shield". The video you made about how S&W took your idea and made it happen (Which i do believe they did take your video as at least one reason to offer the NTS version) you said "Smith and Wesson may now have made the best sub compact carry gun on the market". That being said, no room for the Shield in your top ten? I guess not since it is not there but can i ask, what changed your mind on the Shield? Is it just that is is a singe stack? Did something happen that made you dislike the Shield? Thanks for sharing!

I was looking at the top portion of the cylinder thinking "what kind of head spacing was that, and how much lead and flame it was going to spit out the side shaving rounds going into the barrel". Then you cleared my concerns to explain it fired from the lower cylinder. Then I looked at it again, what a cool feature. I like it.

Since I drive a lot I use a shoulder holster, does really well. When I wear a shirt, it's a bit bulky but if I have a jacket or longer denim shirt it works really well concealed. For the farm I wouldn't trade it for anything. A lot of people don't like it...but for me it's a great gun

You're projecting lol. I carry a full size 1911 Sig Sauer Scorpion... And I use an HK p30sk 9 mm double action single action... Which happens to be my favorite little shooter I've ever had out of the 20 + pistols I've owned or operated within and out of the military. I also really considering a wheel gun I do or did have excuse me I'm using talk-to-text I do have a Smith & Wesson oh my goodness 6:42 or 4 for together for 4 to the black one a d a o and all that is a very hard gun admittedly to shoot accurately it is meant for very up close situations 5 shots in 38 Special plus p. The main backup gun I am looking at is the Heckler Koch uspc 9 mm uspc 45 or 40. Or the one I really really want is the Heckler Koch 45 C and the Heckler Koch p7 M8. In my opinion for to semi-autos for carry or to switch off between depending on how my back feels my my other injuries if the HK p7 M8 would be a perfect fit alongside my 1911 the manual of arms having owned both the manual of arms are pretty easy to learn on both I really firmly believe that the HK p7 M8 is probably the best single stack Striker Fired 9 mm ever produced and just completely overbuilt and that's where you want it to be :-)... That said the Chiappa 20 DS and white rhino guns I'm looking very heavily at semi concealed carry is not too big of an issue for me or full concealed carry I don't mind if my guns are slightly visible since I'm carry for Duty Carry and I won't get in trouble but I would really love to get anyone's opinions on what other guns I should consider as a backup for my 1911 obviously smaller 1911 would be a good other than some of them can be finicky but if you have any recommendations that be great I go it's Kimber called and Sig Sig happens to be my favorite 1911 but do you know an old series 70 Commando size or smaller Colt or a Kimber Ultra Carry or something like that I would have really consider as well as Sig p-239 I believe it is I'm also looking at the Sig Sauer p225 I found one that has a p 6 marking which means it was West German made and used by their military and police and they're generally collectors items very valuable very dependable and the parts are easy to get so sorry about the long message I'm talking to text and I'm doped up from my pain but thank you for reading and thank you for any replies happy holidays everyone :-).

I have the Beretta PX4 Storm in 40SW. I also appendix carry due to my frame size. I love that it has a safety that is easy to reach. It is also SA/DA hammer fired so holstering and upholstering this gun provides the extra safety i need for appendix carry. I use to carry a glock with an extended mag like you said, but i found that the PX4 is almost the same size as a Glock 27 with an extended mag, just one inch longer in the barrel. I am also left handed and the ease of switching parts, such as the mag drop is really nice. I may look at getting the PX4 in 9mm but currently i love the 40SW.

Sometimes I carry a .32ACP Beretta 3032, usually as a backup, but often as an alternative to grabbing a larger gun when I just want something that will slip into a pocket or even my sock, and it and an extra magazine fits in my sock. I travel a lot and stay in hotels. A 3032 that fires reliably is a fantastic little gun to have in a hotel. The 32ACP will expend most of its energy going through a wall, but 8 of them in your torso and face will take most the fight out of you. For a tiny little "mouse gun" the 3032 is probably the most concealable gun I would consider, without going down to .22LR, or ,25ACP. which I won't consider. Revolvers do have a few advantages over semi-autos. Semi-autos can be knocked or held out of battery. They can jam. Revolvers, just shoot. Banker's Special, Chief's Special, Airlite, 42, LCR, any of the snubnose .38 Spcl. to .357 revolvers are fabulous CCW guns.

Great list, great video. Some medical conditions afflicting concealed carriers are: Caliberitis - the swelling of calibers and powder loads among people who don't understand terminal ballistics, particularly those who believe there is such a thing as "stopping power." Capacititis - the swelling of magazines among people who don't train in stress shooting fundamentals, and are lucky to get one round into the target when the Shit Goes Down. Tactitis - the tendency to prepare for and believe you can handle a running gun battle with multiple attackers, using any handgun or combination of handguns.

My EDC is the Taurus PT-111 G2. Say what you want... I've put well over 5,000 rounds of cheap ammo thru this thing(even some steel case, and aluminum case), and it has NEVER had a malfunction, of any kind. It's the perfect size/capacity ratio, and it can be carried in a decocked condition(if you know what you're doing). I actually own 3 Taurus handguns, and they have been pure perfection. Present day Taurus IS NOT the Taurus of old. They have came a long way. My new TX-22 has over 1,500 rounds thru it(95% bulk ammo). Actually, 8 different kinds of cheap ammo, and I've had ZERO problems, of any kind. Not even a light strike! No other .22 handgun can do that. Period. And, the trigger reset is amazing!!! And, my model 66 7 shot 4" .357 is my woods carry gun, and I can shoot it more accurately than other handgun that I own. I was surprised that the Shield wasn't on this list...

It carries 20 rounds, is built like a tank, and it's never, ever, ever failed to fire every trigger pull no matter what I feed it. Even my trusty Glock jams up once or twice a year. I live in florida and I can even clip holster it to a pair of elastic gym shorts without it falling or pulling them down. 20 rounds, no manual safety, never fails. Just my 2 cents.

I like how he chose the Glock 33 for his number 2 spot but pictured the Glock 26 the entire time he talked about it 😂

I mostly conceal carry a S&W 638-3 Airweight .38 spl. w/ a Ruger LCP II .22 in an ankle holster. I do have a Canik TP9SF 9mm that has 18+1 capacity if I think the capacity might be necessary, but most of time, I just sport the 638 because the Canik is large. It’s not as heavy as my Ruger GP100, but it is bigger.

#1....Zastava PAP M92, 30+1 rounds. The only downside is you can't conceal it while naked.

I currently carry the beretta 84bb, it is a great carry gun. The one con is that there is no decocker lever, you have to do it manually

CCW is totally different from duty or concealed duty carry- as a retired LEO who spent 10 years in dignitary protection, what I choose for concealed duty and off-duty concealed carry are very different - and for off-duty, personal protection, the Rhino is hard to beat. Statistically, off-duty I won't need all 6 rounds, and the barrel being at the 6' makes all the difference in the world allowing me to rapid fire 6 .357 rounds with chilling speed and accuracy.
