You can actually see clay shift around on the lines when the players kick/run around it. Watching the French Open right now and the dust/clay doesn't kick up as much as you would expect so it's actually pretty realistic visually

Hey what is the alternative for ps4? I've seen very bad comments about 2k25 but i want to play a good game specially in carreer mode

For a modern game TopSpin2K25 doesn't look much better than Virtua Tennis 3.

no it does not. it looks cheap. no dust kicking up off of the ground or anything. the ball does not even leave marks.

I enjoyed the game so far, but I have never played TopSpin 4. That may be one of the reasons. What I hated was the grunts! I hate hearing two players playing with the same voice. You can see Badosa and Swiatek. They share the same voice. And Alcaraz really deserved more invested time

Early days mate Tiebreak looks way better than a month ago and will improve more which it is doing every update and the 100 plus players with good likeness is the sealer for me as i really like AO TENNIS 2 and i don't care if you hate it, at least Alcaraz looks like Alcaraz and plays like him unlike 2k25 where his model is terrible and hits more flat shots than his heavy topspin game

Topspin4 is better

Ace tennis simulator has much better ball physics & realistic rallies. The ball floats so much in Topspin causing opponents reaching every shot, you can’t put away short balls, and the game doesn’t punish shots we’re the player is stretched in defence. Ace tennis may lack in graphics but the gameplay is very satisfying

In Ace tennis simulator they can't even get the tennis players to move around the court realistically, they seems they are floating and sliding all the time. How it can be that realistic? No way.

@@gastonpodestanulhem5117 The animations aren’t great in full ace I absolutely agree. The shots and rallies however are way more accurate. You get punished for short balls, the topspin shots don’t float so you actually have to get in position quickly, you get rewarded for risky shots with clean winners. Most importantly top spin costs 6 times that of full ace

My biggest gripe with Top Spin is that players seem uncapable of hitting the ball close to the baseline. That's why opponents reach every shot and rallies are long and not as satisfying, because 95% of the shots are short and land almost exactly at the service line.

The person playing isn't very good at aiming and/or shot selection. You can get some good fast flat shots if you know what you're doing.

It is top spin 4 with a little graphics improvements. I can't beleieve they just copy/paste the animations from TS4. Nothing new unfortunately.

This is the first game 2K made since more than 10 years, it was obvious there isn’t going to be that different than TS4, as the game was highly praised by most of the people. Since the game is called TS 2K25 and not TS5, hopefully will be more releases and improved ones

Agreed. No freedom of movement of shot direction. No variety in players skills or service ability. No commentary. No challenge. No close fault mistakes. It’s rather crap and they’ve taken our money and given us nothing. I’m very disappointed.

Considering Roger did motion capture for this, his movement looks pretty far off the real thing. I don't know... the way he is running just doesn't look right. And the fluidity of his shots also doesn't seem to be there. Strange.

The game looks much better from a month ago sliding footwork is better but can improve more along with smoothing and slowing down player movement. Federer movement is close to his style so i don't know what you are looking at,Alcaraz actually looks like him and his heavy topspin style unlike 2k25 not looking like him and mostly using flat shots.

The game is good, but Alcaraz lacks strength, he missed out on having his soup.

The ball has no gravity. I see it in ALL 2k25 vids. Why doesnt anyone comment the same???

I found tennis games borring because they are so predictable! When I watched this video I knew before every shot on which side the ball will go. There is no surprise in teniss games.

The gave us crap very same same. Given today’s technology you’d expect bunch variety and ability to change shots or running etc. but it’s just crap sadly.

A game for casual player. Zero simulation here. Looks like a senior 50+ gameplay.

As with all tennis games since 1990, 90% of all plays are 30-ball rallies. As if Prime Nadal is playing with Prime Federer in each and every game. Not impressed. Will probably get too boring too soon.

The ball and movements of players doesn't effect the ground and also game mechanics are far away from the reality. We were expecting more than this..

It’s not bad. But it’s not that better from Top Spin 4. And the fact that you can’t play with Rafa or Novak just sucks.

Holy hell this looks terrible. The serve tosses look horrible. Half the time the players just sit in this weird pre swing position because the ball moves unbelievably slow. Just looks weird and very unnatural. I was expecting so much more from a 2024 AAA tennis game. Hard pass.

As a Full ACE Player TooSpin game called tennis is so unrealistic it’s funny to watch. what a bad slow ball movement. all looks so scripted. the ball is flying high and slow in real tennis every player what destroy the normal shot in TS2k25. no real animations and the grunts are just a joke. sorry but that’s not good. a 12 year old game recycled with the same scripted scenes I’m out.

I’ll tell you the only one that was ever great. And you had full movement and ability to do what want with the ball. And it’s 8 bit. Haha. Top ranking tennis for the Gameboy played on a Gameboy advance sp. Most realistic tennis game ever.
