Wisconsin just added catch & release for large& small mouth. if you are using live bait go with circle hooks to reduce gut hooking. or go artificial with 1 or 2 trebles.

Door co. Is tough to beat that time of year.
I like using 4lb Maxima Chameleon on my Daiwa Presso ultra-light for smallmouth in my area. Hook into a 20”+ river smallmouth and talk about a blast!
How do you like the Lowe Roughneck? I've been looking at the 2070 side counsel version, looks like a great river boat for fishing more than two people.

I love, love, love that boat! It is incredibly stable and a blast to fish in. The 80 Yamaha jet is a great performer on that hull. Three people and a heavy load is not an issue.
What pound weight are you using?
