When I'm in town I always go to three places: 1) Pho Basil - Thai & Vietnamese in Back Bay (tiny place - really fresh and excellent!!) 2) Red Bones - BBQ and southern fare - near Davis stop (nothing fancy but tasty) 3) Belle Isle Seafood - Winthrop (excellent seafood and reasonable - worth the inconvenience of traveling over there).

@@marvistatravel7439 Thank you! Also, I should mention Al's Cafe (State Street and 3 other locations) - lunch only. Subs are excellent! Made to order - hot or cold. Do not get the large unless you plan to share it. Huge!

Go to Union Oyster House at 11am!!!! The servers would be so “free” that some of them may even give you a run down on the house’s history!!!

Haha. yeah so many food youtubers make the food look so good but when you go to try it, it's the size of a kids meal. I figured, hopefully the phone can at least be some point of reference. Thanks for watching!

I went in September 2018 and thought I would catch some good weather..........I ended up catching 2 days of heavy thunder storms :( I still had a blast touring the city. I was amazed to still see runners running in heavy, HEAVY rain!

You should’ve tried Mikes Roast Beef… used to be right next to Mikes Donuts in Everett like 15 20 yrs ago.. Broadway in Everett.. but now that the casino is there.. they kicked all the good shit out of there… including subs r us n only have McDicks (McDonald’s) on the way to encore casino.. but back then (20 yrs ago)that Everett was the ghetto everything was good priced n everyone had a heart.. if we didn’t have money they’d always hook us kids up.. cuz they knew we were hungry.. Mikes roast beef n donuts always loved the kids coming by everyday getting their daily donut after school or roast beef or sub for dinner.. MIKES USED TO BE THE BEST IN EVERETT

haha. I was a little bummed about how Neptune Oysters worked out. I was looking forward to eating there. But I was really pleasantly surprised with how good the food is in Boston.

Try local family owned restaurants. There are tons in the area

Woodman’s of Essex, Regina Pizza 🍕 and Kelly’s are the BEST food joints.

maybe because i’m a bostonian, but neptune oyster being bad because no greeting shouldnt bring it down. everything else makes sense for it though

I agree. If it was just the 'no greeting', I wouldn't have had a negative experience/ review of Neptune Oyster (or any restaurant for that matter). But it was really just the overall experience from beginning to end (literally from stepping into the door and stepping out of the door).

I live in Chicago and they have a lot of European Markets that's something I didn't know

Chicago! You guys have the best pizza in the country! Hands down. Sorry New York, but I'll take a Chicago deep dish pizza any day.

Well listen to you i get more confuse, so maybe to play safe i will skip Boston and all the restaurants and coffe and pastry place. Trouble will either to get poison by big mac and coke or taco bell and pepsy, what do you think is best?

Thanks for the recommendation! It's right across from Mike's; that's convenient for dessert. The Daily Catch has squid ink pasta. That looks like an interesting dish.

Dang I watched this video and only have a place to eat for dessert. There were no good actual food reviews lol

You lost me when you put dunkin doughnuts instead of neptune oyster, that place is legit. Shrimp cocktail is ridiculous

Believe me out of all the restaurants I was looking forward to, it was Neptune Oyster because of its lobster roll. But the really poor customer service and room temperature lobster roll (when I ordered hot roll) really left me disappointed. I really wish I had a better experience.

Mike's pastry is a tourist trap. Maria's was the only authentic bakery in the north end and she closed.

Nice video but i think they rip you off woth that lobster roll, i just saw a video 26 bucks for lobster roll and clam chowder at quincy market.

This video would have been better if the length was cut in half.

Seafood in boston is excellent BUT maine is better and far cheaper/ you go to Boston for Italian food. that's actually worth the money

Yeah, I was pretty bummed it didn't live up to the hype. It was one of the restaurants I was really looking forward to.

The title is misleading since in all the places you showed (as top places) your take was mostly negative!!!

Mikes Pastry is over rated go to Modern instead!!!!

These places are all tourist traps. Don't go there. There are better places around town for cheaper money. This guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. All he did was give crappy reviews about places he recommends. What a dope.

MIke's pastry sucks. Everything they sell doesn't taste fresh. Really overpriced too.
