As a County fan here just want to say this was a good advert for L2 despite 3 controversial decisons McClean on Hewitt, the dropped ball by Okonkwo, then the penalty (how did the linesman didn't say anything as he had a better view of it). I'm looking forward to the title run-in as it's about to get even spicier but I hope we, Wrexham and Mansfield (in that order) goes up as long as the Franchise don't come up with us, I don't care

Mcclean is a liability, with his reckless tackle I'm surprised he wasn't subbed off to avoid a possible 2nd yellow. None of his crosses found a team mate and his defensive clearances just booted anywhere, usually to the opposition.

the "dropped ball" wasn't controversial in any way. It is not allowed to kick a football out of the hands of the goalkeeper. McClean got a yellow, so don't understand why you think that was controversial. I of course agree about the penalty, but in the end it wouldn't have mattered. Mansfield wasn't at the top of their game today. No clear goal chances and Wrexhams defence was near flawless. Wrexham intercepted so many balls and worked tirelessly the whole game. Fair win!

The linesman didn't say anything about the penalty decision because he spent the whole game looking at the ref and supporting his decisions. Plenty of throw-ins were his flag didn't go up until he saw which way the ref pointed.

If you watch the McClean incident again, it's both players clattering into each other that causes the damage to the defender....both full blooded into it too, with defender getting the ball a nano-second before JM so nothing intentional there and JM could quite easily have been injured too. Don't even think it was a yellow IMO.

Unfortunate penalty but Mansfield couldn’t find the net. Pp is the most underrated gaffer in the game.

McLean didn’t go into that tackle with intent to harm. It could have been a red though, on another day. So that’s why it’s a yellow. The defender body blocking Bolton saw the run and couldn’t stop his momentum, so that was an intentional foul & happened in the corner of the 18yd box = penalty.

controversial game. i agree that mansfields goal shouldve stood and im on the fence about the penalty. if bolton had rolled around more, it very easily could have been a red instead. overall i think that goals wise, it realistically shouldve been 1-1 but im not too upset because wrexham played better on the day and the better team got the win

Rubbish commentary. The defender saw the run, knobbled him in the air in the corner of the 18yd box. The commentator was much further away than the ref.

Never a penalty, but I'm glad Wrexham won.

The ref might have changed the outcome of the game with bad calls and that's a shame.

Clearly outside the box. Linesman should have seen it but he was useless all game, constantly looking at the ref and flagging whatever the ref indicated. Still, from a Wxm point of view it helped balance out some of the clear pens we didn't get this season.

As usual, ignorance of the laws persists. WRX Keep has ball grasped in both hands howeva briefly. Control. Hence offense foul w/ the contact. Mansfield foul *may* hav begun outside area but clearly continued into it. Penal.

You might be right on the first, but INITIAL contact has to actually occur within the penalty area for it to be a penalty. Seen that happen many times before to know.

Bantams fan,watched highlights in The Philippines,for me Mansfield hard done by,Wrexham goalie not in control of the ball,goal should of stood,and for the penelty,contact well outside the box,referee to far away.

Hard done by? Sorry, Mansfield made nothing of any of their changes. Arthur lost control because the player made contact with him holding the ball. The call was right by the Ref. It wasn't a penaltie, but it wouldn't matter either way, Mansfield was shyt. I watched the whole match, and Mansfield did nothing when they got the ball. The better team won

Refereeing was fine. Some missed calls but the only questionable decision was the pk. Which you can easily argue either way. Mansfield had it 2/3 of the time and nearly equal penalties. Nearly every loose ball was called with a penalty b/c it was a clash. Mansfield just wasn't figuring it out play wise at the goal with Wrexhams in your face ambush of an opponents shot line defense. Wrexham had more tackles, more tackles won, 2x as man clearances and 4x as many blocked shots. The better team won, that's not the refereeing.

​@@bitcrusherrDisallowed goal was the correct call. Even the Mansfield players didn't argue that one. McClean's tackle was a judgement call but both players were lunging for the ball. Had the Mansfield player been in control of the ball at the time definite red, as it was... 50/50. The penalty decision was demonstrably wrong. Ref was too far away, and the lino didn't have the bottle to stand up to his decision.

Why would that have been needed? Wrexham was the better team all over. A solid defence, so much energy and hard work from everyone and some magnificent play.

Absolute dogshit refereeing in this game.

Terrible commentator, so boring and wrexham's own highlights were a much more entising watch

Poor officials again. Only a yellow awarded for what was clearly a cynical and vicious targeted tackle. Then the keeper clearly spills the ball and a perfectly good goal gets disallowed followed by a tackle some 2 yards outside the box with the lino clearly level so the ref awards a penalty? Unbelievable.

"The keeper clearly spills the ball". Some people really see what they want to see. He dropped the ball when the Mansfield player kicked it from his hands. And no it wasnt a penalty but it wasnt 2 yards away, it was just outside the box. And why don't you mention that the Mansfield player should have gotten a red for that tackle on Bolton since Bolton would had been the last man with the goalkeeper? Even these matches when Wrexham clearly dominates people still blame the referee.

If you watch the video at the moment it happened you'll see a Mansfield player raise in hands as he knows the goal will be disallowed.

Referee and his teams are MOTM. poor tackle should red, foul outside the box should freekick.

PARKINSON OUT the knights of wrexham need someone with clout and spine. bring in mick beale or steve evans and call it a day lads! We'll be back to the top of the prem like yesteryear.
