I’ve been to both the pasta place and the gelato place. The pasta place was Trattoria Osteria Buca Manzoni and the gelato place was La Sorbetteria Castiglione (which is awesome). Another great gelato place is Santo Stefano and the best tagliatelle alla bolognese I had in Bologna was at a restaurant called Vicolo Columbina.

The good thing about Bologna: it's good almost everywhere. It's actually hard to find a bad restaurant.

Bologna is my favourite city. Lots of vegetarian options as well.

For all those who demand a map: in Italy do not enter restaurants that have illustrated menus. Those restaurants are a tourist trap.

It's really amazing. Looks delicious, but it's a shame that you don't say where are those.places or how they are called as I am going now to Bologna and could've been really useful.

Yeah, I thought it odd that the vlog bragged about how it was one of the best in all of Italy but didn't mention the name, esp. since it is listed in almost every decent guidebook and list.

Brodo pasta is my fav....not easy to find.... used to order from Mario Batali osteria mozza before he closed down

nice ! quick technical question.. when you run and gun do you film it all in like 50 or 60p then slow down the bits you need for slow motion or do you alternate from 50/60 fps to 24/25fps ? Thanks

Holy heck, Ted. This is terrific filmmaking and storytelling! Yeah! You did turn into Tony Bourdain in this one, lol. Mattia did a great job of selecting destinations to explore the food. Can't compliment you enough on this one! Italy. Man, I really missed out by not going there!

Those places are good but also very touristic,I don’t think at all those are the best ,cafe terzi very good indeed ,but for gelateria,I guess cremeria santo Stefano e funivia are the best ,

A great video BUT why you guys did not make it much 'clearer' where these places were, just saying the name of the place once with Italian accent ( even playing back ) could not understand. Also why not a small graphics map with where they are (easily done) or a list above the names of the places so we can find.

Despite Mattia's comment, I would say that "spaghetti bolognaise" is more an English/British/UK concept than an American one. The Brits even go so far as to say "spagbol"! In any case, note that not only is spaghetti the wrong pasta type and shape for the sauce (instead of tagliatelle), but the spelling "bolognaise" (instead of "bolognese") is wrong for an Italian dish.

I wonder why all the vloggers all basically use the same music..

I love to Bologna. My favorite in Italy. Only downside is that ugly, unfinished Duomo. Just because the builder/diocese screwup is old doesn't make it good. Finish the gosh darn facade!

In Bologna it is fashionable to fine foreigners who visit the city by car. the fines are 92 euros and if you do not pay in 6 days costs 230 euros. the problem that in a lapse of three hours you get up to 4 fines. it's a shame but they are taking advantage of the visitors

Sorry you apparently are unaware of Zona Traffico Limitato, (Limited Traffic Zone) which is found in the center of many Italian cities now, including Roma, Firenze, Milano, Pisa and Bologna as well as many smaller cites.
