Top Gear Comes To Smallfield Banger Racing Track With The Famous Big Hit!!

This was when Top Gear (the old one!) came to Smallfield to film. Unfortunately I wasn't racing and was just in the crowd that day but there was some good action and a massive follow in on Mr Tango (6.58). Doom is filmed saying he was going to put someone in hospital which was weird as that's what he did to me!! (See my 2nd to last banger race) Not to sure about the comment about £30 jags I didn't come across many of those!!

Those were the days and while we can’t race now because of this coronavirus we’ve got plenty of old cars built for when we can 👍 also brilliant video
Bangers are amazing I love racing here its such a nice track to mash the hell out of others 💪👍

Ahh those were the days!! 28/7/24 spoke to Neil Marriott up at Whiteways Cafe bury hill w/sx , still likes a bit of speed , he was out on his Honda Fireblade ( i still call him " TANGO" )

Awesome, I live 5 miles from there and was up there on my (79) Z1300 a couple of weeks ago 👍 good to hear us oldies are still about 😂

@@tattyadams I used to go out with a girl who's dad used to go out with the water bowser , after filling the bowser from a smelly pond just to the left of the entrance into the track field . The only way to turn the water on was to stand directly behind the spray pipe to operate the lever , you can guess what happened😝😝😝

@@colinhead284 🤣 So it was you!!! 🤣 I remember that bowser well! I also remember being dragged back from the next field when I got fired over the bank at the end of the finish straight 😂👍. I actually won a race once (rare for me) in a 2L team meeting when I went over the finish line on my roof, good times.💜
@mmikeironhorse they had american cars "YANKS" in unlimiteds before this video was taken, the reason they were banned for a while is because someone was seriously hurt in an accident after being hit by one, however they later allowed yanks back at the track maybe 3 years later

To stop the seat collapsing back as the race harness straps you in tight and the hits make the seat bend!
the guy that got smashed into is my friends dad. he survived but broke loads of bones.

I use to love Top Gear extra it was better than Top Gear had all the motor racing action the other channels didnt show

No, we just had a builders prop (Acrow's) banger drivers today don't know their born ;-)
