I really like Mike as a tester as his swing speed represents most general public. In particular he has very neutral swing that really differentiates the characteristic of club head and shaft designs.

Just wanted to say thanks. Your channel is the absolute best there is for in depth, detailed, technical, comprehensive yet understandable club analysis and advice. I’m just re-doing my bag this year, and got fitted down here in the US by well respected fitters (Titleist’s regional guy in Westchester, NY for irons and wedges, and a guy in Morristown, NJ for woods - who also confirmed my iron fitting), and your videos have been an instrumental part of my process. Well done, and thanks. Seriously, this is the good stuff for anyone looking for this kind of info. I carry a 6.0 index down here, so…for whatever that’s worth. Thx again. Another great one loved that you covered about it coming down to what the individual golfer needs, and not always about distance. Mike was on fire for this one.

My Mizuno STZ 5 wood is never leaving my bag, need a new 3W this year and to me Mizuno is KILLING it in the looks department, might be looking there even tho I was leaning Sim 2 Titanium

Finally have gotten my swing with my woods and drivers to a pretty consistent place and I’m so pumped to go get fit for driver/FW/hybrid

I got the sim2 this winter and it's a cannon. I love it, nice small fades, great for the cold virtual holes in Canada.

Good stuff. Nice swinging by Mike. TSi2 is my #1 contender to replace old 15* x-hot 3w as I have TSi2 driver and love it but open to anything and my (lack of) speed definitely has me leaning towards 16-18* loft range.

I use the sim 2 max HL 3W with the Diamana Thump shaft. The HL puts it up to 16.5 and it might be my favorite club in the bag. I use it off the tee, and as a second shot if it's real long and in the fairway. Highly recommend. It can be a great alternative if you aren't feeling your driver on a certain day and need to find the fairway!

Watched this video last night and had a full bag fitting today at Club Champion. Tried 4-5 different 3 Woods and all very similar, then we tried the Stealth and omg 😳😳. 25 yards longer than everything else along with better dispersion.

Having hit the SIM and SIM 2 TI for the past few years in the 5w turned down to 17, its as long as any 3 wood Ive ever hit. But if I start hitting the toe it'll go miles left on me. But I put up with it because it is a WEAPON when Im swinging it well. When im not I hit the G425 7 wood haha.

Ian, Would love to see Mikey test Callaway’s flagship woods like the Rogue ST driver & fairway woods. Then test the draw bias woods as well. This would be a great benefit to us regular golfers. You can even bring in Ronny for the seniors who need more data on what club might work for them. Then another show comparing them to Cobra & TMs, etc. flagship woods. Most of us are not elite players and are the larger part of your viewing audience. Just saying. Great content for mid to low handicap fairway woods.

How about a 5 wood test instead of all these 3 wood tests?

Great video. The Titleist shown closeup was an 18* 5wood and the TM looked to have the loft sleeve changed. Was this for video reference only or were the clubs tested in that configuration?

Would be interesting to see the Stealth lofted up a bit more, to get the spin to better match the other offerings. Either a 15* lofted up or 5-wood lofted down to 16* or 16.5* could get very similar spin and distance compared to the other woods at 15*.

So much depends on the impact a new 3 wood has on your gapping, & what you then have to do to your bag

I have an Adams Tight Lies Titanium in 13.5 and that thing is a BEAST! 💪

It would also be fun to see Ian build up a Rocket Stealth. I know he plays a lower lofted Sim currently.

Nice video lads. I still use the r7 CGB max fairways 3 & 5 had them since 2008 and love them. However I often think about having the 16.5 & a 20 hybrid. It’s about time for a change 😂

I’m not a fitter but I’d certainly be in the camp where Stealth does not work for my game. 2600 spin and 23 yards of roll is a driver or off-tee only club. If that were my 3-wood, unless green is pretty elevated and had wide opening at front, my only option using that club on long approach would be to aim for a bunker. If I cannot consistently see 3000-3200 spin and max 10 yds roll, it’s not an approach club. For me the C722 set to 15.75/57.5 w/Speeder NX 70X has been the best 3-wood since my Orlimar persimmon 40 years ago. I did not try the Stealth as my club builder did not have a demo 3-wood but I tried the Ping, Rogue, STZ and TSi3. The TSi3 was the only club as consistent in spin and dispersion as the C722. Unfortunately Titleist does not offer Speeder NX in its matrix and my builder cannot order as head-only like he could with C722. I would recommend Mikey given the C722 a try. 👍

Great hitting Mikey👍👍🚀🚀 I gave up on Fairway woods a few years ago, I only use them from the fairway, I can't get them up in the air and I slice the shit out of them! So I use a 19deg hybrid instead, I can keep that straight & get it airborne.

I had to switch to open my 3 wood up to 13.5 to lower spin. Now it is great and lands like a butterfly from 282. I only swing driver at 119. 3 wood at 115 avg.

Curious as to why the low spin versions of the LTDx and Rogue ST were not used, but the Stealth Ti was. It seems that those two would have been a better comparison to the Stealth Ti.

What I would like to see is a video of what exactly do all the numbers mean. A breakdown of all the data meanings would make it easier for me to wrap my head around what it all means. Hopefully they can find a new mix that works as well but it's kind of the unfortunate nature when a big company takes over a smaller one there always ends up being some casualties.

Definitely think with the new lineup, videos present better with Mikey doing the testing and Ian commentating. That's my favorite match up so far. Mikey is a great tester and Ian provides the most insightful commentary.

Just added a 5wd to the bag. Alternate with the 3wd depending on the course.

Nothing beats my Tsi3 3 wood and Radspeed 5 wood.

I was a big fan a 4-wood. But game a modern 5-wood today with an Oban shaft.

I bought a new 3 wood with a 1/2” shorter shaft for more consistency. Shafts are getting too long! First round I noticed better contact and gained distance! Now when big5 starts fitting golf clubs I can get fitted!

Love the new team and how these tests seem to be more relatable.

Mike is very consistent. Turn that Stealth lie angle up one degree to match the center strike he gets with the Titleist and he’d kill it.

Now let’s redo driver tests with these guys 👍

seeing how theyre not coming out with a new model this year i dont see it happening. Im sure it would still hold up but its yesterdays news....

Just bought a Rogue ST LS 15* and will put it up against my Sim2 Ti. TM has Ventus Blue 7X and the Callaway will have Ventus Red 7X. Should be a good test.

I also really like the Rogue ST ls. I am still gaming the original Rogue SZ 3w, but might make the change. I actually prefer bonded fairway woods.

I agree too! All subjective though isn't it. I'm surprised that better players wouldn't be jumping all over that to get the club loft and face angle exactly where they want it.

Ive really liked the Cobra fairway woods. I actually messed around with the RADSpeed big toe today with some impressive numbers.

Just be mindful Cobra's adapter isn't as good as the likes of Titleist, Taylormade. Not as flexible in terms of adjustments

If you go back and look at the numbers in each respective video, the Stealth Plus 3W is almost EXACTLY the same as the 300 Mini Driver hit by Mikey. Can you guys do a head-to-head with these, and maybe include the Stealth Plus Rocket?

For the last two seasons, my "3-wood" has actually been a 16.5* Titleist TS2 that I also have set to 15.75* loft. However, in the last few months, I have acquired both a 16.5* Tour Edge Exotics 721 Pro 16.5* 4-wood and a Sub 70 16.5* 4-wood (all three of these clubs are between 42.25" and 42.5" in length). I find that the higher loft and slightly shorter shaft length on these clubs helps me in a few different ways -- better accuracy and great ball flight being among them. My clubhead speed is about 4 to 5 MPH slower than Mike's with a fairway wood (I'm in the 93-94 MPH range), and I will NEVER go back to the 13.5* to 15* 3-woods that I gamed for many years.

Hopefully the next gen Callway Epic Whizbang woods go back to Optifit. I hate not having adjustment, especially with half of my courses being par 3/executive where I can jack up the loft or swap shafts. Love my Epic Flashes.

I prefer the 4 wood as it has the slightly shorter shaft and easier to launch off the deck. Actually play the Sub70 pro fairway & it’s awesome!

My 3 wood is a 5w @ 16.5* then down to a 7w @ 20.5 Gapping works perfectly

RB has a great voice for this stuff.

Can we see stealth plus vs sim2 ti with mike swinging?

Just did a fitting to remove my hybrids I can't hit. I crush my generations old 5 wood so gapped in a 3 and 7 wood. Ended up with a Stealth for the 3 wood. The low spin and consistent distance even on a mishit was just a slam dunk for me. It wasn't a fair fight like you said.

I have a hi launch Ping G2 2 iron. I'm able to get great launch, at times it goes just as far as my 3 wood, which I struggle to get up. My Question is, when my 2 iron is going about 195. What's the benefit of a 5 wood?

Stupid question . Would a 5 wood lofted down with a 3 wood shaft work . Feel like my 3 and 5 cross over 2 much and would give me options for bag . I don’t go for greens with 3 wool only as a fairway finder off tee or run on long par 5’s

Correct me if I'm wrong, where each club using Mikey's gamer shaft? That aside, it would have been nice to have Mikey hit his gamer at the very end to see if there was any change in his swing performance. It is also worth nothing that Mikey had built his 3W to be a higher lunching wood, hence the higher spin which will reduce distance. All that said, you all hit the nail on the head: "what are you trying to address with your 3W? In closing, the 3W is the hardest club for fitting.

Which shaft has been in the Stealth TI? Ventus Blue maybe, but which one?

Mikey - have you tried TSi3? If so, does it perform at all like the Stealth Ti?

If the Dynamic Loft on the TSi2 is 3 degrees higher than the Stealth, why not try the TSi2 13.5 and its adjustments?

Because there's no free lunch. Lower static loft would mean lower launch angle and possibly higher difficulty to hit off the deck. The only club that seems to disassociate launch and spin was TM.

May I ask why the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo fairway woods are never tested or reviewed?

Would you recommend TSi3 or TSi2 for me? I would like to eliminate my cut with TSi3 but I want the forgiveness of TSi2???

Maybe I missed this but why not compare the TSi2 with the same Ventus Blue as the others? Or the others in Red instead of blue? Curious how much of a difference that might have made.

How less forgiving is the plus vs the stealth? I am looking or a 13 degree or 13.5 rocket. Dont' want to turn up 15 because it opens the face which I naturally fade it to begin with? Does anyone except TM carry a 13 rocket?

Why do you need low spin in a 3 wood? It is a fairway finder from the tee and second shot option for long par 4/5s.

I hit a fly z 3 wood set at 13.5*. I can hit both low to get under tree limbs but it starts to rise at a bout 75 yds. I can move ball in stance and get nice high launch as well. Both of these are off the fairway. I can carry 225 of ground. Off the tee with the ball about 1/8th inch above the ground I hit a high ball about 245-250 with a 15 yd fade. My swing speed is 90ish. Does this sound like decent numbers?

Lower spin on your 3 wood isn't great if you're playing into a green though right? I don't want a bullet that runs through the green.

So you like to compare the gamer clubs to get a baseline, but what would you do with someone like me who this is 4 year playing so looking to upgrade woods, then driver. But my 3-wood is a 98 cobra and 5 wood is a presimmon head? Should is still use those for base numbers in a fitting?

I think you guys bring up a very important question with test. What are you trying to accomplish wether it’s to have a approach into par fives are a total distance machine. That I think is the real story behind this test.

5 wood is way more versatile for me. I can hit it high or low and still carry only probably 10 yards less than a 15 degree.

Mike's results were best with stealth+ but I have read that the stock made for TaylorMade smoke red rdx shaft is not comparable to true aftermarket shafts. Was Mike using the "made for" shaft? If so was it a stiff or x flex? Did he find it "loose"? Thank you, Joe
