this list is incomplete without Graeme Pollock of South Africa, whom Don Bradman considered the best Left hander he has ever seen in the Game of Cricket and George Headley of the West Indies, who was nick named the " Black Bradman" . Both these Players Averaged over 60 in Test Cricket. The last name missing is of Sir Everton Weekes of the West Indies, He is the only player to score 5 consecutive Test 100's-141,128,194,162 and 101. He had an average of 58.65 and was part of the 3 W's of West Indian Cricket-Sir Frank Worrell and Sir Clyde Walcott

Ian Botham at 5, McGrath at 20 and no Malcolm Marshall in the list is the BIGGEST JOKE EVER. Malcolm Marshall is the greatest fast bowler of all time. Number 5 spot belongs to Imran and Botham should be listed at least somewhere after 20. Plus McGrath is number 10 and Wasim replaces Kapils number and Kapil at number 20. Plus VIV and Tendulkar places needs to be swapped.

I don't know know what I am a West Indian but IMO Gavaskar was more entertaining to watch than Tendulkar. I believe he and Viv were exceptional considering the opponents they face.

Going by true ability as a match winner, delivering when mattered most for his country in all countries, all conditions... I would place Richards at no 3, Warne at no 4, Akram at no 5, Marshall at no 6, Glenn Magrath at no 7, Adam Gilchrist at no 8, Joel Garner at no 9, Ian Botham at no 10, Lara at no 11, Ambrose at no 12, As a sheer allrounder ability... Don bradman only played aganist england most of the time he face same bowling line up and there is no computer techniques to find his weak zone..he played 61 matches in 21 years he only played test cricket........ Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest of all time becoz he faces top 10 bowlers of all time.... He demolishes most of the bowlers remember one thing back then indian cricket was very weak team becoz we have spin dominated pitches so we have lack of good quality fast bowlers during his era opposition teams mast fast bowlers favour pitches remember that...... He played 664 matches at an avrg of 52+ and scored 35347 runs and 100 international centuries he served India for 24 years❤️

I'll give ya a like, while I disagree with some of the placements, it is a solid list with all the greats on it. Although, personally I would've added Michael Hussey. For him to come into the AUS team so late in his career and bat the way he did so consistently was something else, and I feel if he had started earlier in his career then he'd be among the top run scorers of all time.

Even though Muralitharan took more wickets than Shane Warne in both Test and ODI matches, on what basis is Shane Warne ahead of Murali? What is the qualification of Adam Gilchrist who is in this list than Sanath Jayasuriya?

Bradman and Sobers obviously 1 and 2 is correct. Then -in my opinion - Warne and then Tendulkar. It gets complicated after that.

An interesting list and I agree with many (most) selections - although having Jacques Kallis as both Australian (see the specs) and South African (main title) is a major typo. I am glad that cricketers of early last century (W.C. Grace, Wally Hammond) are included although Victor Trumper might also have been mentioned. One way of determining who should be included in a list of this type is to have a match of two teams - probables V possibles - of arguably the greatest cricketers and see who would be included - and who would be left out! Have Murali on one team and Warne on the other, Lillee/McGrath up against Ambrose/Marshall, Bradman against Tendulkar etc etc etc. The mouth literally waters at the prospect. Generally - thumbs up.

picking Botham ahead of all these greats is insult to this list.

Notable omission: the men that terrified the great batsmen, in order: Jeff Thompson, Michael Holding and Joel Garner Notable revision: Sunil Manohar Gavaskar deserves a little bit up in the ladder. The young lad along with experienced Dilip Narayan Sardesai took upon a team which everyone thought invincible. Kapil is a dashing batsman alright. But he is a greater bowler; I guess that should have promoted him. Top five is always critical. They are a beauty. Will Grace is a legend and he will always be. Despite my loyalties, I believe Ponting is overrated. Hadlee and Botham belong to another list. When making these type of list we should always think about Theory of Relativity.

I rank the top 4 Bradman, Sobers, Syd Barnes and Jack Hobbs. I haven't worked out the 5th but those 4 are miles ahead of anyone else.

Lists are stupid and insulting to many greats, while many old time legends are honoured and rightly so, today cricket is different they may or may not have succeeded particularly well in today's competition, formats, pitches etc. It's better to make lists of best 11's decade wise or format wise.

From an all-rounder point of view Sobers certainly one of the best - if not the best. However, from a batting point of view, Bradman stands alone as #1 - World War 2 affects his stats. The problem here is that we are comparing different generations of cricketers so I will say that both Sobers and Bradman were brilliant, top-notch cricketers - end of story.

@@vaughnkhan4210 This is my final comment. Considering that you mentioned it, I recommend you re-read what I have written and revisit the averages for the bodyline series. I agree that Bradman's average was 56 but there was only one person higher (with half the number of runs and fewer innings). As for the bowling averages well, remarkably, there is one D.G.Bradman with a single wicket for 23. You are correct in your regard for Sobers as a bowler - which Bradman never (or rarely) was and never claimed to be. As for the opposition - at the time that Bradman played (generally pre-WW2 although he continued for a short period after) England was the only other major team - teams from the WI, SA, NZ, India and the rest only came into the test arena after WW2 although there had been limited/friendly test matches against them prior to WW2. Nowadays tests are played against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc - many of these were not around during Bradman's era - or in Sobers era for that matter.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Ian Botham.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He's not in the Top 100 Cricketers! Mainly played against Australian 3rds and when weakened after WSC and then still only ave. 29.35 with the Bat! Feasted out on a weak India who couldn't even beat the Australian 3rds during WSC years to heavily inflate his averages. Against the best, which you should always be judged by, the West Indies he only averaged 21.4 with the bat and 35.18 with the Ball. Most overrated Cricketer in history. And no Malcolm Marshall, Graeme Pollock, Barry Richards and Greg Chappell is laughable. And the Greatest Fast Bowler of all time Dennis Lillee has to be Top 5! I'd also try and find a spot for Fred Trueman, Mike Proctor & Dale Steyn.

This is a controversial list which can be best described as as personal.Bradman was great but he never played in South Africa, West Indies or India.From what i have read he had a weakness in dealing with genuine pace.Sobers my choice as number 1 relished against the fastest of fastest bowlers and tore them to pieces.Next would be the master blaster Viv Richards and at no.3 i would put Brian Lara followed by Imran Khan at 4.Tendulkar was good but he went to the cleaners against Shoaib Akhtar being struck a fearsome blow on the head in Karachi 2006.I thought Shoaib had killed him.Gavaskar was to my meaning the complete batsmen produced by India.

No, Bradman had a bit of trouble when fast bowling was constantly aimed at the head, and even then he averaged 56 for the series. Otherwise he destroyed whatever bowling was served up to him. His figures against Larwood in England in 1930 were 975 runs at over 100 av. That's why Jardine invented Bodyline to stop him.

@@cricketshorts5679 Guess what BRADMAN did not ever face four fastest bowler's at the same time,he never even face Hall and Griffiths, this is why I say Gavaskar one of the greatest batsman of all times, he made a century against the most visious four fast bowler's of all times that's HOLDING, ROBERTS, CROFT and GARNER at SABINA PARK IN JAMAICA the most deadly wicket in the world, Google what happened to INDIA at SABINA PARK when BISHEN BEDI was captain I think it was 1977, almost every Indian on that team got hit, I think VISHWINATH had to retire hurt, and GAVASKAR made a lot of runs in that test match... WITHOUT A HELMET if Tendulker had faced those four fast bowler's he probably would have been running and ducking all day.

What about George Headley? Richards scored 24 centuries in more than 100 tests, whereas Headley scored ten centuries in 22 tests. That is not to diminish the great Richards, but the extraordinary Headley is far too much neglected.
