Designed by renowned automotive designer Henrik Fisker, the Ocean stands out with its sleek and modern aesthetic, reflecting a commitment to eco-friendly transportation without compromising on style.
One of the Ocean's standout features is its commitment to sustainability. It boasts a fully electric powertrain, with a projected range that meets the demands of daily driving. Solar panels on the roof contribute to the vehicle's energy needs, showcasing a dedication to reducing environmental impact.
Inside, the Fisker Ocean offers a spacious and technologically advanced cabin. The interior incorporates eco-friendly materials such as recycled plastics and vegan upholstery, aligning with the brand's environmentally conscious ethos. Advanced infotainment and connectivity features ensure a futuristic driving experience.
Furthermore, the Fisker Ocean is designed for versatility. It features a unique "California Mode" that retracts nine windows and openings, transforming the SUV into an open-air driving experience. This adaptable design enhances the connection to the surrounding environment.
With its focus on sustainability, innovation, and adaptability, the Fisker Ocean represents a promising step forward in the automotive industry's pursuit of greener and more responsible transportation solutions.
"California Mode" is a distinctive and innovative feature found in the Fisker Ocean electric SUV. It is designed to provide a unique and open-air driving experience, allowing passengers to connect with their surroundings in a novel way.
When the California Mode is activated, the Fisker Ocean undergoes a transformation that involves retracting a series of openings and windows, creating an expansive and open interior space. Here's how it typically works:
Retractable Windows: The SUV's side windows, including the rear windows and even the rear windshield, can be automatically lowered or retracted, similar to how a convertible's top might be lowered.
Sunroof and Panels: The California Mode also involves retracting or sliding back the front and rear portions of the vehicle's panoramic sunroof, further enhancing the sense of openness.
Tailgate Window: In some variations of the California Mode, the rear tailgate window might be lowered, essentially creating a large opening at the back of the vehicle.
This configuration allows occupants to experience the sensation of open-air driving without fully exposing themselves to the elements. It's particularly well-suited for pleasant weather conditions, scenic drives, or when a driver or passengers simply want to enjoy fresh air and an unobstructed view while on the road.
The Fisker Ocean's California Mode is a nod to the relaxed and carefree lifestyle associated with California, where convertible cars and open-air driving are popular due to the state's sunny and mild climate. It offers a unique blend of practicality and enjoyment, catering to drivers and passengers who want to make the most of their driving experience while still having the convenience and comfort of a traditional SUV.

If they raised the clearance to 200 mm it would take over the entire Subaru Outback market.

Side profile, reminds me of a Range rRover Evoke, apart from the wheel arches.. Still looks nice, range is impressive, however price is well out of most people's range, would make a nice secondhand car though 👍

It does look like an Evoke, just slightly more masculine. I think it's an awesome outer design.

i was hoping the middle seat would be the driver seat bit like gmat27 or gmat50, and that it was less tall and more long in exchange. airplane fold out desk is nonsense, a standing desk with a cushion under it that could be attached makes more sense, or soemthing that fold out on persons chest or stomach as hes wearing it kind o flike necklace, but its got to hold onto laptop etc, with virtual reality projected onto normal lens or something, maybe a bar up frotn the car and attached to seat rear or soemthing to attach display holder so you dotn ahve to hold up screen with arms to not have upper body and neck bend foward downward when using device for long time, causing posture problems and even muscular malgrowth in etc . hypermiling can be fun, think of it as old endurance racing because you go fast to get there on time but you do it with minimal resource use ('sustinability") which is like avoiding need to pitstop for tire change, brake change , relubrication , refuel etc ... you speed downhills because graity helps car build speed effciently,to some extent you preserve momentum instead of braking and speeding up again, reduced power steering (and maybe a conservatively set gforce meter that accounts for lack of grip from bad roads) to make it easy to know the grip limit and encourage braking and steering steadily for minimum normal wear damages... fisker claims there new ev has less of that endocrine disrupting microplastic type of stuff that comes off by tire wear dust, supposedly brake wear dust of many brakes are a similar problem. low weight and keeping weight low to ground makes everything safer, cheaper, more agile, less exponentially road wear damage. biodiesel , e fuel, hydrogen combustion, propane etc are mroe sustinable than battery because small part fof battery cannot be recycled so far and chemical toxicty is not measured of what can be doen today, and the parts cthat can be recycled arnt being reccyled in mass, which is why they are still wasting raw resources dug out the ground to make them today. heavy weight causes road wear, tire wear(see endocrine disrupting microplastic and article called gaining traction, loosing thread polution from tire wear now 1850 times wose than exhuast emissions" by "emissions analytics dot com , brake wear , and is more dangerous in crash (at least to people outside the car) . variable van electric assited turbo with jet turbine or these freepiston or INNengine or even maybe just a detuned toyota gr corolla inline 3, possibly could make emissions basically nothing, especially in terms of stuff that isnt co2 (the actually harmful stuff). compressed air enery storeage with non battery regernatiev braking may only be good enough to replace the auxilarry battery of combustion cars which also can charge the electric turbo, turbo will also give electrci energy which can be converted when tubro is spinning too much air into engine. mahle recyclable electric motor. suspension can get to height of average other high dstanding cars to make its crash energy absorbing structure low to ground, hit the same structue of another car, to minimize crash damage. toyota kdss and fric suspension , redcued power steering switch makes driving fun incentivise preserving momentum instead of lowering longveity of battery, brakes etc and causing pollution, by preserving moemntum around turns with smoother turning, g force meter can help do it optimally and safely. mid rear engine weight distrubution with rear wheel drive and maybe additional optional front wheel drive regenrative braking system , electrical regernatiev braking lowers battery life so its less ssutianble. rear seat face the rear comapct 4 seater can with seats poiting toward each other espcailly at the rear and front ends, for areodynamics, less indoor airspace to heat and cool, using unused trunkspace as legroom to excuse less space because full trunkspace is rarely fully used while rear passengers also exist, weight reduction and mroe of weight lower to ground for more momentum preservation repalcing braking and speeding up... notice aptera rear top end areodynamics reduces weight and lowers it clsoee to ground more too. limited slip diffrental to allow speeding downhill roads even if its curved road. speeding downhills is good instead of speeding in other road types because gravity helps car move more effciently.... ntoice this replaces all real needs, no need for suv etc, can rent large van for big familys travel vacation, can take 2-3 doctor appointment trip instead of 1 because such trip happen very uncommonly while car is much less cost. check out tony heller, suspicious observers, youtueb channels... and corbett reports article called how blackrock conquered the world" on substack dot com... check out how CAFE law is obviously not written by people who take climate crsis idea seriously, laws like this put high standards on sedans yet not suvs, they dotn punish unessesary ground clearance which makes cars more dangerious to others and makes them less able to preserve momentum around turns, they etc , they dont punish chassis height and weight, they dont incentivize using less plastic in tire, they force companies to use bigger engine just because bigger engine is more effceint at max fuel per chamber (nerdy lab thinking) even though smaller engine wouldve been better in the real world, etc. the wef blackrock esg type people who promote climate crisis destory nucelar energy which is pretty much the biggest hope for so called clean energy. and political energy independence, check out ulez road user charging, etc... its all to weaken people to submission to serve them at the cost of everyone else compact 4 with rear seat facing rear

It seems the interior is not a $70,000 feel? Seems more like $50,000 to $60,000?

Agree. They have skimped a bit on the interiors. The Pear also looks super budget on the inside which is a pity as the exterior looks awesome
