These agility & skills courses/exercises are designed to help develop the fundamental riding skills of clutch, throttle, brake and active balance by the rider.
Precise practice in coordinating these techniques can lead to instinctive/reflexive actions by the rider and allow for more precise control of the motorcycle.
Mastery of these techniques allows the rider to more smoothly transition the bike when cornering as well as being able to react reflexively when encountering unexpected changes in surface traction in off road conditions.
Depending on your skill level, you may want to make the courses larger to feel more comfortable while you develop these skills.
Performing these exercises carries a risk of dropping your motorcycle which may result in damage to you or your motorcycle. Always be sure that your bike has the proper crash guards and that you also wear the appropriate protective gear.

    Fine tracks you found. The last one - corridor half-pipe cabriolet with bumps is so nice and so far from here...Animation shows arrows of eyesight but not quite accurately, right? Real eyes have fun from power point video effect, but still clap the hands :) Target point to the front wheel is settled, then eyes are allowed and willing to scan freely, cause they are not knees to be so focused. Which is of course a process changed when driving in darkness, I mean with the lamp or sth. :)

    These are such great videos! I think the only reason you don't have 100,000 views is because they may be too short at under 10 minutes.....or so I've read. I'm sure you already know that because they really are the perfect length right now at around 5 minutes. Thanks again for doing this!!!

    I was taught not to squeeze the tank on a plank, but rather ride with wide knees like on a trials bike. It is more difficult to do the corrections if you squeeze. I think the rider in a video can do it both ways. ;)

  • @advmotoskillz

    @advmotoskillz

    Thanks for sharing your experience! Squeeze versus not squeeze or sit versus stand... all come down to rider preference and skill level. When riding heavier bikes that are not as flickable as trials bike, we find having a grip on the bike with the legs has a couple of advantages. Firstly, it allows for the rider to be able to give the bike quicker steering inputs with counter balancing techniques, especially in slow speed riding. Secondly, having a good grip with the legs helps when experiencing an unexpected bump which causes an unsettling in the bike’s suspension. Sometimes this disruption can result with the rider being jarred back... and a possible whiskey throttle situation. If the rider does not have a good grip with the legs... it can become an exciting moment for sure.😅 But again … this decision is up to each rider. There is more than one way to get safely down the trail. 🏍🙌

  • @advmotoskillz

    @advmotoskillz

    Lots of ideas... it all depends on how much land you have available for the project. Firstly, learning the proper use of the friction zone (to be a smooth and competent rider) is probably the best advice I can give. To do this, agility course like slalom and some of the more fun designs laid out in our videos. Then... it is fun to have a few obsticles to do ride outs on to relax on after and allow some air flow to cool you and the bike dwon. A simple "ride the plank", small jumps, other fun things you can see in some of our other KZread videos too. We also have an Instagram account for pointers too if you have not seen it. Best of luck on the project! Send us some pictures as it develops.
