@@altairr8067 Nah Enshou was initially fighting Katsura and Sakamoto and doing good and then a really injured Takasugi came in and beat him. Takasugi before the fight had tanked an explosion to his face and even during the fight he was on the ground from losing so much stamina and blood and still managed to beat Enshou. A fully healed Takasugi beats Enshou, and the only Joi 4 Enshou beats is Sakamoto. That’s just my opinion on it

Even without immortality I still think Kouka wins, even Umibouzu saying that she’s dangerous when she first meets Kouka not even knowing about her regeneration and that was him in his prime. That’s my opinion on that

People overrate Sougo so much. I'll give him credit because he's a prodigy and has the most potential in the Shinsengumi but it's already been established that Hijikata is about at Gintoki's level and Kondo is around Gin's level too. Plus, it was revealed in the Mitsuba Arc that Sougo has never beaten Hijikata before in a fight. He loses to both Hijikata and Kondo.

And Okita is the strongest in that trio you can't say hijikata is stronger only based on 1 fight when Okita is yung and the other when he was desperate, sad and frustrated about his daying sister. Let's not forget gintoki beating hiji with 1 move in early gintama. But in the skip arc he told the sword "at least Okita's moves were unpredictable" and that's a high compliment coming from gin himself.

And yes, they fought each other within the first 10 episodes of the anime, and they were about equal. *Let's not forget* that Hijikata actually injured Gintoki in that fight, and Gin barely won when he finally managed to break Hijikata's sword. All-in-all though, I think Gin is stronger than Hijikata but only by a bit. You don't even have any evidence to back up your claim why Sougo is stronger than Hijikata and Kondo....Just giving a bunch of excuses why Sougo lost to Hijikata (which outright proves he's stronger than Sougo lol) and using the same typical Sougo fanboy rhetoric lol. In the arc about Sougo's sister, if you actually paid attention, you'd know that Hijikata was actually Sougo's teacher in their childhood and, along with Kondo, taught Sougo swordsmanship, so how the hell can Sougo be stronger than either of them when they taught him everything he knows?? Sit this one out, buddy. You're clearly confused... On Kondo's part, he's the Shinsengumi Captain, and there's no way that a captain, who's still in his prime, would be weaker than his subordinates in the Samurai Era. The hierarchy of that time was most likely in order of who's strongest, most capable, etc. Kondo is the butt of most of the jokes in Gintama, so if he was weaker than his 2 subordinates as well, there's no way in hell they would respect him like they do. He has very few feats and no 1v1s battles, but we've seen him take on a Yato squadron (through teamwork) at the same level that Gin, Hijikata, and Shinpachi took them on. And going by power scaling, if he's the Captain of the Shinsengumi, that'd automatically make him stronger than Hijikata, the Vice Cap, who's stronger than Sougo, third-in-command. If Hijikata is a bit weaker than Gin but Kondo is stronger than Hijikata, we can assume that Kondo is around Gintoki's level but possibly could be stronger. It's all speculation but I think it's quite accurate. The Shinsengumi fight criminals and Yakuza members daily while Gintoki lived a peaceful life for 10 years until he met Shinpachi and Kagura at the start of the series. To say that any of the Shinsengumi Trio is nowhere near Gintoki's level is absolutely ridiculous. Even at about the midpoint of the series and on when Gintoki is able to tap back into the power he had during the Amanto War, none of the Shinsengumi Trio would be an easy fight for him. And Sougo would be the easier one of the 3 but still a tough challenge. You're playing yourself right now lol

It was a fair fight, and both surprised one another and managed to land a clean attack on the other, but neither were fighting at their best (Gin was rusty and Toshi underestimated Gin). In actual list, Shougo won't even come in top 10. Katsura, Umobozu and his wife, Housen, Kamui, Hedero all of them are stronger and should be on top 10.

@@shravya9496 He didn't kick Kamui's ass, or at least it wasn't one sided. The Yato's are much more stronger, faster, and have a better healing factor, that's why I put them above Gintoki. Should I add a tenth, Housen would take that place as Kamui is much stronger than Housen in Rakuyo, and I'd put Katsura below Housen.

Nah Kamui is defo above Kagura & Gintoki. In Rakuyou arc it was 1v4 with Kamui being jumped on. He still managed to get in feet with two Yatos trying to subdue him. Umibozu isn't present in this smh man literally fought Utsuro with one hand (Abuto is here but not Housen lol) Love Tsukki and all but there are more characters stronger than her. I think Sarutobi, Mutsu, Nobume & Kyubei can even beat her.
