Top 7 Parts That Will FAIL On Your Bmw N52 Engine

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

in this video I go through with you the most expensive parts on the N52 still today and the most common parts that will fail on your BMW N52 engine now the majority of these parts are very very easily sourced on this car and to have this car fully reliable with no issues all these parts need replacing at some point or another now when I got my N52 none of this needed doing BUT I made that choice to do all this as preservative maintenance to protect me later on in life which now I know my car is reliable for the next 100k at least

    Tried to do some preemptive maintenance on my 80k Z4 E89. Bought some ebay vanos solenoids, fitted. Car didn't run as well as the old ones. So put old ones back in, runs great. They will be ok for emergencies, otherwise don't buy cheap. Go BMW.

    So I have a question I can’t get my vehicle to idle correctly. I replaced the MAF because in brimmerlink I wasn’t getting Any values for the the MAF. Once changed the MAF I cant get the car to stay on it rough idles then stutters and dies. All my O2 sensors are giving weird voltages so I’m guess it’s all my O2 sensor. Question is to you is it the O2 sensor causing my bmw N52 not to want to stay at idle?

    Mine seems to have had that mod too, the intake has two DISA valves, even though apparently that's not the 218bhp spec. Mine tick under hard acceleration, I need to look at them before something bad happens... I also think whoever installed that intake didn't bother flashing the ECU accordingly as only one of them seems to be active at all.

    Hi I appreciate for your videos. Its super helpful! I’ve got some issues on my 09 e90 328i here in US. The car is on 120k miles and I replaced both O2 sensor before cat and bank1 after cat (replaced 3 out of 4) due to CEL CEL never came back on since then but there is slight vibration at idle so I did Valve cover gasket replaced but re-used valve cover (I did valve tronic motor re-learn) Oil filter housing gasket replaced All six coils and plugs replaced Acc belt and tensioner replaced Cleaned MAF sensor and vanos solenoid (both intake and exhaust) BUT I have very strange issue which it makes irregular vibration and when I stop on signal the RPM drops to 450~500 for 1~2 second and comes back to normal (not always but sometimes). Engine doesn’t feel super smooth compare to my other 09 528i in my home country. Also it had cylinder1 misfire code few days ago so I was actually happy because I though I found reason (assumed injector) but its gone again and never came back (there is no single code for engine). This drives me crazy. I pulled cylinder1,2 spark plugs and both looks really good and clean. Another clue is I hear some constant slow tick under intake manifold but mine doesn’t have disa valve so I suspect purge valve but I don’t know if that relate to rpm dropping issue. I am pretty sure there is something wrong but the car doesn’t give me a code!!! Is this relate to vacuum? Help me please thank you so much

  • @BMWDoctor

    @BMWDoctor

    4 жыл бұрын

    Europe I don’t have many places that ship to us as they won’t do it mate I spoke to quite a few companies regarding this and THERE REPLY was the USA AND CANADA are not allowed quality parts with the quality control stamp your government and commissioner of the car industry requests and buys reject parts that are failures from factory that they can’t send here they send to you guys instead I was trying to find out why and I had the phone put down on me that’s why all parts in the Us fail and in the Uk and Eu none of ours fail for that reason that’s why they won’t let you get parts from Europe you can only get Chinese or dealer parts I usually ship parts to people on KZread to help them I will buy them here and then ship them to them to help them out as I understand how it is there There reply was also that if they provided the us and Canada with quality parts that don’t fail you would all drive around without anything failing and the parts stores would not make any money that’s why they only accept Chinese and reject parts from factory that are not allowed in the uk and Eu
