Just like you said: the RollerBlade skates are solid classic good skates, maybe not the most innovative but always reliable, but you forgot to mention, that even though PowerSlide are very innovative, they lack of that good quality! the screws can jump off their spot, the bands are really thin and cheap felling, the only thing that feels really solid, is the trinity frame (Zoom Pro 100x3)

Some pink loco zooms! Or purple. Something loud, the colour variation in all inline skates is pretty bad, but aggressive skates are improving with wild designs from Roces and Them - the colour options in freestyle skates is awful. The current loco zoom is the best looking freestyle skate on the market right now though.

I was drawn oddly to the powerslide skates when i saw it and its been my best skate ever coming from an oxelo mf900 which i still keep as a spare. I do love the review

hey man, im going for my 3rd pair of rollerskates now and i need your help on this quest. my first skate is the Rollerblade RB cRUISER 4X80 and i loved it. but Now i want a faster skate and a more confotable liner than the One in the cruiser. my second rollerskate is the Powerslide Zoom Pro 3x100. i liked it, but got very disappointed with it cause it was supposed to be way faster, BUT......the hurricane wheels are too slow man. and the cuff gets me ankle pain. that annoys me. i was looking for a Rollerblade twister. the red and black one, but got worried about the narrower fit, comparing to the Cruiser. cand you shed some light on the differences? please? thanks in advance. btw i want a 3x110 this time. I love the zoom but when you hit size 10 and up, the frame is a little short imo.

Have the FR1 310s and love everything about it. So comfortable, amazing quality components, well built and fast. A massive upgrade from my 2019 Twister Edges.

Definitely a Downgrade from twisters. Worse liner, worse wheels, worse bearings and mold that's 20 years old and not breathable at all. Flimsy straps.

@@kenmastersmaster that's your opinion, pity it's completely wrong. I used to love the rollerblade brand but after the pain, struggle and poorly constructed frame with the edge 110s, never again. One positive note, the hydrogen wheels and bearings were decent.

@@DashDrones pity you have flat feet and have to wear inferior wide skates from 20 year old engineering/moulds and cheap Chinese wheels because you couldn't figure out how to size the twisters correctly. The twister frames are extruded and the fr frames are cast, so you clearly don't know anything about frames either... The fr310 are 231mm vs 255mm twister 3wd makes them way more stable

I'm looking to get a new pair of inline skates for my Dad who is going on 80. He has a pair of schankel inlines , 4x110mm, that he got 10 years ago. He used to run marathons until he couldn't anymore so he picked up inline skating as a form of his daily exercise. He likes the 4x110 setup. with the shoes on the frame, for its lightweight, rather than the boots . Please help me find a solid and reliable pair of inline skates for him! Is there a brake system for the 110mm? Hoping to grab a pair for him this holiday season.

Hello guys.. Playlife Aztec or FR X for a man who stayed almost everyday in his childhood with skates on the streets but didn't skate since 2005! I think i still got that balance and can do also couple simple tricks or running fast with them.. Does it worth to pay +50Euros for FR X or just go with the Aztec for 100€.. I personally love the look of the boot from Aztec and the wheels from FR X.. Thanks!

Yes. The Twister Edge is one of the best skates out. Build-quality wise it's the best on the market. Only reason it wasn't featured here is because there was very limited availability at the end of 2021.

I ended up buying the skates at a store in Porto 'cause the Twister XT had just arrived. Pretty cool skates! Good performance. I'm new at it and with only 3h30min of practice I can already do a lot of stuff and I feel comfortable wearing them. Pretty smooth, and the shock absorber helps a lot! Probably with different skates, the experience wouldn't be the same 😉✌️

Yeah thanks for watching today is a lot more friendly and less cliche than like and subscribe, if people do like it and want to sub they will, it's become that monotonous hearing it that it means nothing anymore. Now someone saying thanks for watching today in a friendly mate chat manner will make me 'feel' like doing it, because I hate being told what to do. Bent the frame on my old hockey skates that I've been using for leisure so looking for a new pair and can't decide if I want to settle again and grab some Loco Zoom for that continued 80mm feeling or if I want to go silly for an FR1 to be able to try alternate wheel sizes...the inner conflict of trying to justify the extra budget continues... Also when are you getting some more snapbacks in? I'm sat here wearing my current one with all but 3 of the pins snapped off and continually super gluing the two straps together...

My tendency is more to get aggressive skates, but I'm a bit older and will probably just hit the street and not grind and jump much anymore..do you think aggressive skates are good enough for casual street driving ? Or should I go for some of this video

I've bought a PS Zoom as well, but the Pro 80 version with Trinity frame. I've never regreted it. Only thing though I hate about this skate is its liner. It's a complete disaster and trash. The liner's inner coating came off/became lose after the first 2 hours of skating and became much more baggy with the time. It begins to scour off my ankles after 2-2,5 hours of usage so I always plan my sessions within this timeframe. Finding a cheaper liner, what fits in this skate and doesn't feel too tight either, isn't an easy task. To be honest, I don't want to intvest half the price of this skate in a new liner. It would be ridiculous :D So I gave up on the hunt and roll with the original till I can use it. Than I want to buy a Seba High Light Carbon Competition or a PS Harcore Evo Pro because I really love the Trinity mounting system. I have to try both and than I can decide which one will be the winner.

Are there any skates made in the USA?

The zoom would be a lot more tempting with a longer frame, the 4x80 or worse the 3x100 is really too short on the larger sizes. Either stretch it out or do 90s or something.

A few people have mentioned this. Interesting that the Zoom always gets singled out for this issue when all the other skates (FR1, FRX, Cruiser, Flying Eagle) also use a 243mm (ish) frame across all sizes. Is it that the frame is placed quite far forward on the zoom do you think? (ie accentuating the shortness at the back)

@@LocoSkates exactly that, there's a real risk of a sore bum because it's so far forward. Generally speaking I think those frames are always too short for a UK11, but it seems to be an industry standard for whatever reason. Stretching out the wheelbase would be nice but I can hardly blame a manufacturer for not bothering with a niche size.

As an american, whenever you start to describe the price of the blades, I am just thinking to myself, "Wait, how heavy are these skates?"

I do love Rollerblade, and I use the Zetrablade for inline freestyle slalom. I tried the Cruiser, found them too heavy and cumbersome. If I could have the Zetrablade with aluminum frames, I'd be happy😂

Put Intuition liner in a properly sized Zoom shell and you got one of the best skating experiences ever. The riveted frame is amazing. One thing I don't like about skates is how confusing it is to get the proper size, with shell size, liner size etc. Also skates for children are a horrible mess.

If anyone can help I will be greatly appreciative. I use to aggressive skate but quit probably about 10 years ago (I’ve been on skates but I mean frequently.) my daughter is wanting to start skating which gives me a reason to get back into it. I really want a freestyle skate (I think) for smoother faster glides and just cruising with the kid but can be a fast flow skate with enough soul area to do a simple occasional grind.

6 years on the 2015 FR2 and I doubt that the metal plate on a FR1 makes a difference in power transfer at all. And when you think about it it wouldnt even make sense. It is not possible to deform the plastic mounting block with a frame that is flat connected to it.

And yet all the boot breakages you hear about on Reddit are always from cheap plastic mounting plates where the bolt cracks right through the plastic. Even $90 oxellos provide metal plates. Fr must be very cheap to cut costs by not including it except in the overpriced models. That pretty much tells you everything. Yes the power transfer will be better with less flex in that area.

I can’t agree with you on the power slide I think the plastic is cheap with a lot of reports of plastic cracking and frames getting loose.

FRs hurt me pretty bad with just 5 miles of skating. Blisters on both feet. They were new and a half size bigger. They were too tight.

We recommend going one full size up on the FR skate. I would still pursue wearing them a couple more times though, blisters often resolve themselves once the skate is broken in... you might find the size loosens up too.

Oxelo mf500 is the best skate under $150... In fact it's under $100 and same mold as the flying eagles. The play life looks good but no metal mounting plates but is a direct twister clone. I also call bullshit on the macroblade instead of seeing a twister edge on the list. The zooms are also pieces of crap
