Azharuddin fixed matches against SA and Pepsi match against Srilanka in 1999.. but not this match . actually winning the toss and choosing to bat second was a great decision applauded by the team later on. the media just needs to find an excuse... there was over cast that day.. so batting became difficult first..and due to more reported due batting second was to be easier... and India's strike rate batting second is a proof to that .. the thing is India just choked .... Every single commentator and expert was unequivocally sure about what the team would do after winning the toss. Except the match fixer Azharuddin must have got a bag of money before the toss. I remember every single expert and a lot of fans was visibly shaken by this stupid decision. How do you exactly conclude that the match fixer fixed other matches, but not this one. They needed 22runs in 13balls. At that moment, rain interrupted the game for 10minutes. "Most Productive Overs(MPO) Method" was implemented for producing a result which was a disadvantage against chasing side. Equations as time progressed during rain 22runs in 7 balls 21runs in 1 ball. Final equation was 21runs with 1 ball remaining. And this is how South Africa lost not just against England, but also against the odds like Rain & controversial MPO Calculations.
