Waiting on fedex to deliver my 2021 Kink Whip XL, pretty excited. I do like the looks of the Switch as well for slightly more cash but I wanted a 21” top tube. My kid has a 2020 Curb that I assembled, and I was pretty impressed with it for a beginner bike, so that sealed the deal for me on what brand I was gonna get for myself.

The one person who thumbed down is a cult bike owner haha 😄 Great video I personally ride redline and subrosa. My 8yr old rides a kink curb and loves it

I love kink bmx sm bcoz even it is affordable and it got some high quality parts 🙌🏻💙

I Bought the 2021 20.75 fit series one. The only problems I had with it is that seat post clamp and break lever snapped. I also bought a verde neo headset conversion kit, odyssey r15 forks, sealed female front wheel, lever and shadow interlock v2 for the upgrades....rides like a dream.

Magenta kink launch with sunday bar clamp and cult sprocket also Fit Mixtape ice blue with shadow conspiracy bb, with kink parts for now, just to get myself rolling and supporting my local bike shop at Black Tire Bike Company. Thanks for all of the tips.

I’m riding a kink curb right now and I’m thinking on upgrading to a kink switch. Do you think this is a good idea or should I go to a lower level or higher level bike. I feel the curb is holding me back and I’m often working on the bike after a hour or two of riding.

loving the fitbikes! As long as its not the cheapest option, anything with the sealed front tube and double walls by fit is badass including the series 22 which for an older bmx'er like myself love to cruise the streets on. And the series 22 being about $600 has full chromo and double wall front and back and everything is sealed.

Cult and kink are my favs

I copped a 2021 fit it’s a super nice and stable bike beautiful and strong I’m super super happy with it used to bike in 2016 getting back into the game

Kink launch gang!!! I have a kink launch with black label double walled rims, black label pegs, Haro chromoly 4 piec bars, kink gum tires, a fit seat, a marroco sprocket, I also painted my frame purple and got a new chromoly fork and my bike looks dope as fuck.

i have a kink seat and frame and i love it its a hughes sig the seats so comfy once you break it in

Meh! I got a kink gap xl. Just beginning so what ever I smash I just replace and slowly build the bike back with quality. Chromoly forks handlebars and something else . The fun is in the upgrades too. Good video!

@@vengefulsniper2052 i have a 2017 gap xl, and it's holding up very well. i replaced the tires recently, and my chain just snapped today & my sprocket bent. tough that the 175mm cranks have to be swapped if you want to run pegs (i have size 13 feet if that does anything different) and the back of my feet hit pegs, so i don't run pegs

Kink will replace your frame if it ever breaks too so keep that in mind. They may not have the best quality frames available, but they will back up their product to keep you happy.

Hi I’m currently riding an older bike, a 2011 Fit Eddie 3. I really like the bike, it’s super lightweight and seems very strong. I haven’t really seen any super in depth reviews about this bike besides just the basic specs. Do you think it would be worth keeping this bike and just upgrading parts as I go along, or just buying a newer, high quality complete?

Yeah, so it really depends on your level of riding. Looking at the eddie, it was kinda a mid level bike back in the day. A lot has changed since 2011. Including more comfortable geometry and lighter parts. A newer bike would definitely be easier for you to maneuver. Come to my live stream this friday to asm me more questions about it!!

Nice video, but as you say with the Covid shortage in bikes, some countries and bike shops can only sell what they can get there hands on. I brought my new bike in late February 2021. I had it down to 3 brands. I could not get them in any bike shop in 500km of me. Then on a Saturday having a beer at a hotel in the CBD, I spotted a bike shop that has not updated there FB page or web page in years. Went in and there was my Sunday. Not the colour I wanted but the burnt Orange was OK still. But they would not discount because of bike shortages. So $1200 latter and a free Abus lock thrown in. Best thing was this Model was my #1 pick.

pretty much every bike is upgradable if its a real bmx, especially like the devotion. they may have a different offset though, so theyll feel different.

K have a 2015 kink bmx and I just purchase new odyssey path finder tires and cult tubes

every single part me and my friends bought from cult have broken, we've broken bars and forks the most though I have 5 sets of forks in my shed that are either snapped or the dropout it bent asf and bars broken on the weld and the part you clamp your stem ontoi

On quality alone regardless of price I'm going WTP, partly because Salt and Eclat are good quality too.

Sadly, they are really hard to find right now! I know a few of the guys on the live have mentioned some of their local bike shops having Kink Bikes. Your best bet is to call all the shops around your area and seeing what they have in stock since smaller shops that don't sell online have a high chance of having one in stock!

Does anyone know why fits 2020 line up was so good because you had bikes like the phantom and the scumbag and they were all under 500$ with double wall rims and even full chrome frames but this year there's nothing like that.

Sadly it’s only single wall rims and a chromoly top and down tube. The back end is hi tensile steel. And it’s almost $500 🥴

I thought Fit is like the best now. I didn't bmx for long and don't know much nor ever really rode a Fitbike but from what I understood it's the best in South Africa now.

Subrosa needs to be on here 🤦🏽‍♂️

Gonna say something about that my 2018 26” fit mike Aitkens has a full chromoly frame and double wall rims and it was almost 600

Yes! the 2018 Fits were really good! the 2019 were still good but getting lower in quality. The 2020 had no options with double wall rims and the 2021 options got worse with quality :(

I have a Subrosa Malum which I like except for the weird squeaking noise it makes. But I really like Cult Crew because of how costomizable they seem, watching videos of people with cults, I see how many cool tires, and accessories and parts that you can add to your bike to make it unique.

I've been riding since 92 I was 7 my first bike was a dyno vfr in 96 I was 11 I got a gt mach one I learned street and dirt on that bike when I broke stuff I replaced it in 99 I got an s&m dirtbike next gen and in 02 I bought a standard sta I rode those two frames for 18 yrs I just bought a fiend type a first complete bike in over 20 yrs my whole point is product bitching is pointless IDC what company makes the shit you buy your not going to break it anyway if your new to bmx buy a complete used I got mine for 150 it was 600 new

I don't completely agree with you, most 90's bike were American made with chromoly and not Chinese made with hi-tensile steel like they are now. There is a reason that the American made S&m frame lasted 18 years and the no name brand frames i got from china only laster 6 months haha. You got an exceptional deal on the used bike and I definetley recommend people jump on deals like that if they can find them 🙏 i bet those old frames are still going strong haha. @@Dougsterbob I didn't finish that either what I meant was when fbm started the chinese completes they went under alot of good frames like wtp s&m fit there all in house bmx when the last boom came fbm and other companies bought In china completes and there high end stuff here and went under or damm near every bmx place is sold out right now regardless of what it is but my point is people don't usually break frames and they talk shit like this sucks or that sucks just focus on progression chris doyle said it best ride a bike not a band wagon there's way way to much push for product and taking the fun and creativity out of riding I hate kids who go to the park and sit there on bikes they can't or are scard of using there bikes they talk about how strong and light it needs to be to sit on it and talk but if they didn't push shit so hard those fucking kids would be doing something that fits them poser want a bes dude I used to ride soooo good till broke my frame

Yes, these are only for freestyle bikes. I used to race 20 years ago when BMX meant "racing" bikes. I then woke up in an alternate universe where everyone calls "freestyle",, "BMX" and they took their brakes off.

Why is everyone sleeping on EASTERN BIKES NOW.. I bought the Eastern Traildigger and it's amazing.. all the same specs as the kink.. full chromoly frame,and bars,all sealed bearings.. bad ass.. double walls, and 2.40 tires, all under 440
