My cats are addicted to temptations cat treats. I have 5 cats and 1 kitten. But 2 of my cats would eat temptations cat treats all day long, if I let them. And also these 2 cats will give me kisses and rub up against me to let me know when they're wanting more treats!!

@@Parker_World_Tv @Susan Parker's Vlogs Ditto! The bf has been upset with me over the years for trying anything other than Temptations Chicken. The meower is vocal & picky, it was always a waste of money to try better. But I knew it was crap. I've finally gotten the cat & both dogs hooked on Instinct Raw Boost Freeze Dried Chicken peices as treats (same formula for cats&dogs). He doesn't know how much it cost so everyone is happy.

I understand that mindset. It’s the proper one IMO. But it’s almost wrong. Animals exist for us(not to eat IMO but that’s your choice). You come first. Your pets agree, they too are doing a duty.

Don’t you just love it when cats purr while eating? It’s so adorable.

I share unseasoned bonito flakes with my cats (although mine were not especially for cats, it doesn't contain salt or other spices) and they love it. Especially on top of their food, and I eat it with some miso soup!

My cat Colby came to me with sensitive gums and the vet thinks it likely he could develop stomatitis at some point, so I've been trying to brush his teeth but he will have none of it. I definitely need to look into dental treats. The ones in the video aren't an option due to fish ingredients (his bowels don't handle salmon and the ingredients aren't specific), but it gave me ideas. My first two cats wouldn't touch anything freeze-dried but liked the bonito flakes.

@@leilani6417 I bet he does. Gave my orange tabby unsalted boneless skinless wild-caught salmon. Gave him an ounce and I ate the remainder. Every friday is going to be a salmon day for us.

Great video!! If you’re interested in the PureBites chicken treats and want to save some money, buy the dog version! You get more treats for your money, which is criminal to us cat owners... The pieces are larger but you can break them in half easily.

Thanks for such an informative video, I've been giving my kitten greenies which has done the job up until now but I'd really love to give her the very best! Bonito flakes are readily available at asian markets in bulk for MUCH cheaper:)

My Czarny (Polish for black. he's a Tuxedo) loves Cat-Man-Doo Bonito Flakes. It is a messy proposition, but I love the interaction as I scrap up the scattered treat & he's licks against the scrapper to get the last bits of this delectible snack.

Could you do a video on what treats labeled as dog treats would be good for cats? I've found, especially with vital essentials and purebites, that their dog treats are basically the same as the cat treats (maybe bigger chunks) but they're cheaper per ounce than the cat version! And you get more treats per bag! Such shade thrown at us cat owners! I recently noticed this when I was shopping around on chewy for cheaper alternatives to the vital cat treats

My cats enjoy the orijen brand. We go to the boogie pet boutique and pick them up hearts as well. I was on the fence on wether to get bonito flakes. I personally like them as well on my sushi. Ha!

Please do a video on kitten treats

I cut chicken breast into bite sized pieces, poach it (boiling dries it out) then freeze it. Costs about $2/pound on sale. My cat loves it.

My cats are really big on Vital Essential freeze dried hearts. I hope gnawing on those helps to clean their teeth. You are exceptionally beautiful too!

Well a interesting video, now I know what to get if move over to the USA. If Mallorie ever visited the UK, it be interesting to see what types of 🐈 food she covered and treats! My cats favorite is the Wilderness cat treats

my kitty's favorite treats are tuna loin from Reveal - pure fish. nothing else. really cool.

Tip for people with cats who like Cat Man Doo's fish flakes. Just get cooking grade large bonito flakes. Much cheaper and exactly the same product. Cat Man Doo definitely marks up the price for what the product is worth.

PureBites come in a lot of different flavors. Mine go absolutely nuts over the dried shrimp ones, but it seems bad for their tummies. The beef liver and salmon and chicken ones they tolerate a lot better. Blue Wilderness are working really well for training mine, too: they come in many flavors.

Miles LOVES Virbac poultry flavored toothpaste. It is, by and large, his favorite treat!

My cat is not attracted to chicken food or treats, but he loooves any kind of fish treat or food. He is a very picky eater and I might try one of this recomendations for my fur baby as I've been struggling to find treats he will like 🤷🏻‍♀️

My cat absolutely LOVES the freeze dried minnows, it’s like the popcorn equivalent for him. 😂

I think you can get Bonito in Asian food markets they're put into rice balls.

I keep organic raw chicken drumsticks(or whatever organic chicken with skin is cheapest at the time) in the freezer. I defrost one at a time and cut a small 1" piece, or two, per day. It's the most natural treat for a cat. I suppose I could buy some fish and do the same, but I don't know about that being in my fridge for 3-4 days. I wonder if canned sardines would be good for a cat? But again an open can in the fridge even coveted doesn't sound appealing.

i feed my cat meow mix grain free dry food and purina naturals kitten dry mixed together 50/50 ratio. i also give him fancy feast grilled or pates. i add water to the wet food too because he’s a little lard and wants to be fed all the time lol.

my cats are attracted to the bonito flakes, but when the fly all over the place as the cat breathes, they get frustrated eating them. PureBites Ocean Whitefish was also a big fav, but all stores have stopped carrying them. the online version of the whitefish seems spoiled. the salmon hasn't been a hit, so we stick w/the chicken. I buy from the dog section for better size/price, and break it up with my hand into smaller bits

Miss Malory I've been watching all your videos & some are helpful. But this 1 not so much. I have a picky Scottish Fold ,& it won't eat seafood, or pate, & it doesn't like crunchy treats. I tried the treats but only one of my cats like them the treat they love unfortunately are temptations

Hey all, fairly new cat owner. I have had my boy Ty for about 1 month. He is approximately 4 months old! Ive been doing a ton of research and cross sourcing various lists / reviews. Currently he's on Hill's Science Diet Kitten (dry) + been experimenting with a few high quality wet foods as well. I know changing foods is an impactful event for a cat, so I really want to explore my options before I eventually move him to a higher protein food. ( Open to suggestions.) Thank you in advance!!

Hey Corey, you sound like a caring cat Dad! I also am very interested in my cat’s nutrition. Can you share any information you found out that we should know or recommendations? I rescued my boy at 8 wks he’s older now. I did hear that all “fish” type flavors can cause serious problems down the line. Fish is held to a different standard than chicken or any other meat when processed. They are allowed to use all parts which is not the case for other meats. Very few people know this including my vet. It is true and my vet did say it made sense.

I’m currently giving my cats blue buffalo wilderness treats, they’re softer and my cats/kittens love them.

My 1 yr old female Tabby loves Wellness Kittles. Grain free and limited ingredients. Eventually I'd like to move to a freeze dried treat.

u can prob get bonito flakes at an asian supermarket and prob for cheaper. 1 of 2 cats really like the freeze dried minnows and the other cat will eat it of its in his dish bowl lol will try the cheaper recommendations

I need to ask: what is your skincare routine? It is flawless

Meow from NZ Natural Pet Food company. (They also hav Woof) ? Dogs Love the Woof (especially the duck) but I am unsure about the Meow. Very expensive but wow!

About the freeze dried minnows - if you go to an Asian grocery you can grab a bag of small dried fish (meant for human snacks) that would prob be the same and cheaper.

Sheba salmon sticks. My cats come running when they hear the package crinkling. Unfortunately, the cat who's the most obsessed with them gets the runs if you feed her half a stick, and explosive diarrhea if you give in and give her a whole one. I think it's the oil they use to keep them soft, sort of like those potato chips in the nineties that had the same effect on humans. I'll sometimes give them one of those Fancy Feast filet appetizers. They're basically a hunk of meat in broth.

Gizmo tried nearly all of these healthy treats + many others, and like a bougie cat he just turns up his nose every time and says, "You humans SUCK at making cat snacks. Just give me my CHARBROILED mackerel, and I want it CRISPY SKINNED & DEBONED. CHOP CHOP!". It turns out the Japanese saba (mackerel) is CHEAPER than all the healthy pet snacks. And don't pay $15 for a bag of bonito flakes at a pet store. You can get double the goodness (NO ADDITIVES) at an Asian/Japanese supermarket for $7.

I personally give my cat the greenie dental treats with a dab of cat enzymatic toothpaste on it so that it can clean her teeth, what do you think about that? I also give her purebites chicken and catnip and she loves that too

Hey Katherine, sounds like you have a good system! Greenies aren't the most helpful on their own, but with the enzymatic toothpaste, they're a great delivery system that should help to cut back on any buildup. Sounds like your cat is getting a great variety of healthy treats-well done!

Thanks so much! I am rescuing a cat that loooves fishy stuff. I've gotten the Churu Puree tubes in Chicken because they have fishing included and other flavors. OMG! It's soooo expensive and I am not selfish, but poor and he wants to eat one after another. The only other treat I've found he is wild about is Temptations....eeeek....I know. I was searching for A Dupe for the Churu treat....like maybe a meal size that tastes the same, but didn't see any. I did see that I've watched this video of yours at some time in the past. Can you help? I've watched so many of your videos, cause you are awesome! I've tried to do a search on your channel, but the search feature doesn't seem to work. IDK! Help! LOL! Do you have reviews/info on the best cat calming aids (chews, collars, etc)? I'm moving long distance in a few days, by car, and want my cat to be as stress free as possible. I haven't seen many recent videos of the products out there. .

Hi there! We did release an article on this subject last year. In short, there aren't many good calming aids out there-most of them rely on placebo more than anything else. Synthetic pheromones and CBD are the only really promising options out there. You'll find more information in our article here: allaboutcats.com/calming-aid-for-cats

Regarding the PureBites chicken breast treats, the problem is that very often the sack contained little more than dust and little tiny morsels too small, in my experience, to call treats.

Hey there! Great question. You can cook the chicken in any way you like! Grilled, boiled, broiled, or baked, any cooking method is fine. You can also give your kitty some table scraps-just peel off the skin and any seasoned bits that might be irritating. :)

You can also dehydrate cooked chicken.
