Great channel with extremely useful content. I love your itinerary ideas and they have been helpful when planning my trips. Your website is also excellent. My go to resource when planning a trip to Japan.

I would recommend Yamate without a doubt, and it is fairly close to Yamamashita Park. Not only a beautiful place, but it also has so much history!

This is a great video, thank you very much for the precious information. We will be staying in Shinjuku, and I am thinking of visiting either the shin-yokohama ramen museum, or the cup noodles museum. Which one would you recommend "more" ? Is it worth going to Yokohama "only" for one of the 2 museums ?

Ramen and instant ramen are quite different foods, so I would pick which one you're more interested in. If you feel similarly about both, I would recommend the Ramen Museum. I've been to both, but the Ramen Museum offers more atmosphere and photo opportunities (and is quite similar to the now closed Kawasaki Warehouse arcade). Yokohama is very close to Shinjuku, so you can totally go there for just one thing. But the port area and Cosmo World are great fun after dark when everything else is closed, so you might consider spending the evening there as well before you call it day, even if your schedule only allows for one daytime activity in Yokohama.

I never liked the expression "you want to experience traditional Japan but you can't go to Kyoto" because thre is a lot of traditional Japan everywhere if you look for it as Chiba, Saitama and the Northern Region (Tohoku).

Top 5 Yokohama no.1-5: just live there. The city's location is the best to visit casually other attractive areas: Tokyo, Kamakura, Shonan, Hakone & Izu. Most parts of Yokohama is nearer to Haneda airport than Shibuya and Shinjuku.

Don't bother with the Cup Noodles museum. It's a pathetic waste of time. Take a tour of the Kirin brewery instead. It's FREE and they give you 3 full pints at the end of it.

Note that brewery tours are not free anymore. They cost 500 yen.
