Wish I kept my kicks, never took a Christmas present out of its packaging, held on to my old blue-jeans, didn’t sell those instruments. I am with you on so many levels. Who knew that our daily-use shoes, toys, clothes, and other gear would pay for your kid’s college tuition these days. Almost.

If fake shoes are so well done that they look real? Then why buy real ones? I don't wear sneakers I actually hate them but came across this video somehow. I prefer to pay $200 for a pair of fake shoes than 5K for a "real shoe" that NO ONE else in my circle of family friends will know or care for the difference. I just don't get this sneaker culture.

Prices like that are only due to resellers. Its not even a part of sneaker culture, its the exploitation of people making their consumer choices represent their identity. If one sneaker makes you "look cool or rich" then these resellers will capitalize on the hype and creat artificial scarcity. Sneaker culture is just liking sneakers and collecting/wearing them. I do think its weird though to say you "hate" sneakers, you do realize thats the minority opinion on the planet right?
