I was born left handed back in the 70s. My mom said she tried her best to teach me to write with right hand. I did learn few things to do with right like waving, offering food, scrubbing dishes but that’s it. My friends used to be like you are lefty no wonder you are creative and talented. I am proud being among the 10% of the population. And btw if you can do tasks with both hands you are probably lefty. Right handers can’t do that 😊

My husband and I were both born left handed. Both of us were forced to be right handed. Me by my parents, my husband by a teacher. Although it’s too early to say, it appears that our son is going to be left handed. All I can say to parents of left handed children: let them be. You might feel like you are solving 1 problem but you are creating 10 more. Both my husband and I had speech impediments growing up. Also life has been very confusing for me. I knew I was right handed but the left hand kept coming out to do things. I didn’t find out about my left handedness until I was in my teens.

They tried to make me write right handed in school, think 2nd grade in NY school. My dad went to school,saw the principal in a closed door "meeting". The old shut that shot down. From what I heard, it was a one sided discussion with the guy pinned up to a wall.

I remember when I began writing and my mother would force me to use my right hand but then my grandma stepped in, encouraging me to use my left. I was very dependent upon my left hand at first and felt weird about it seeing other people do different.

Scott Johnson well see now thats just plain freaky right there. I once had a date ask me if I was a lefty. You see I eat with my knife in my right hand and my fork in my left. I dont switch hands. so its cut with the right and grab and eat with the left.

When I was a kid, my Grandma would look after us when my parents were away. I'm a lefty. When she came over, she would try to make me use my right hand when writing. She would get so upset that she would threaten to go home unless I changed what hand I used. She thought left-handedness was "of the devil".

Any ambidextrous around here or I'm just the only one.

My friend is left handed and doesn't do/ have any of these!.!

As a muay thai practitioner, I get joked on for being the only south paw in class sometimes. But my drills always confuse the orthodox fighters. I am learning how to fight all right handed people and they barely know what to do with a lefty. I keep on with my best left handed life :)

saffie girl I know he can't save the country and he is in no way fit to be president, but Hillary is far worse. She is the very definition of traitorous and bigoted, (even though I use bigot loosely, since it's thrown around a lot.) Either way, neither candidate is fit to be president.

I'm left handed and it's a struggle finding things that are made left handed for example I play the bass guitar and it was hard to find one because most people are right handed

other people: *OMG YOU'RE LEFT HANDED?!* me: uhhh yeah? Other people: *OMG THATS SO COOL I WISH I WAS LEFT HANDED!!!* me: *NO* its the same thing when people find out I have a twin sister xD

I'm left handed. But i use tools, scissors, paint etc. With my right hand. But i box in a south paw stance. I find Being a lefty has many advantages especially when in a fist fight.

Blessing Chioma. My grandmas (my moms mom and my dads mom) were both left handed and im the only left handed person out of me my mom my dad and my sister, so I definatly think it runs in some familys

Blessing Chioma It doesn't work like that, if you're parents are both right-handed, there's a 1/10 chance you'll be left handed, if both your parents are left-handed, you have 27% chance of being left handed.
