I just want to know how the hell is this list being ranked? because when you look up on the internet gross tonnage this list looks a hell of a lot different, I'm assuming this is using TEU's which is very misleading for a list like this

Yes it is the most busiest and largest port in America handling 300 plus million grows tons, it is over a 100 tons busier than the next one on the list, Most of these lists are made by TEU's, whichever port moves the most 20 foot equivalent units is apparently considered busy, even though gross tonnage is way more accurate, which means more literal ships calling to the port and being unloaded in various different industries be it bulk, Oil and gas, or containers

It's just funny to me that the port of New York and New Jersey is called the port of New York and New Jersey when the whole port is in New Jersey, shows how pathetic New York is, trying to leach off another state because they don't even have their own port and somehow they're gonna put their name first? New Jersey is just too comfortable being subjugated...
