Ye I use the small and large perch 4d line expensive but great quality.

For me the savage gear cannibal is a must have! From experience it will always catch fish🤙🏼

I would suggest hard swimbates and jerkbaits are two different categories. Jerkbaits you need to twitch the rodtip to make it move side-to-side. Hard swimbaits like westin swim goes in a S-curve on a straight retrieve without any twitching with the rod tip.

Salmo slider or fatso great lures

Spro iris underdog is also a great lure because they dont get snags because they swim 50 cm deep.

@@delwigzieful yeah .that is what I heard that they are amazing for chub But it seems chubs on my river are just slowly taking it from behind and not smashing it as I heard they do

That storm tailbait is jerkable with a jerkbait rod. I got him too, but with a normal casting rod I can’t let it glide. Since i bought a vendetta jerk rod, I’m able to let him glide.

I love lure fishing but sink and draw is just so much better. Only thing is you have to deal with deadbaits and baits flying off and whatnot. But it catches so many more fish.

True but I think lure fishing is not just about how many fish you catch, it's about the experience, experiments changing tactics, locations, depth your fishing, presentation etc. Lure fishing is an art form.

I've always preferred using hard lures, especially for pike had more success with then, only soft lures I use for pike are frogs fishing off the surface. I use soft lures jigging for perch and zander though. That said I caught a little jack pike yesterday with a ned rig while fishing for perch.

@@GameCastCubed maybe over the past 5 years but overall the bigger mepps have more of a history in the uk than swimbaits, but thats only an opinion of mine based on the last 30 years ive spent fishing
