Just don't be that guy in the crowd @ EDC, "Bro, this is totally a square wave in this track!" LMAO

Wasn’t at EDC but the other day I caught myself listening to Subtronics and Rezz’s track saying “Bro this is totally a square wave” 😂

@@SlapShotts they killed that track!
The way I learned to sound design was by watching probably thousands of hours of KZread videos on different sounds like I liked. I had to watch them repeatedly so I had a better understanding. It was really the consistency that helped me. I use serum and I’ll tell you I had no f*cking clue what was going on when I first got it and I thought it would be a good idea to watch Au5 tutorials on sound design that way super cosmetic and above my skill level. Eventually the repetitions of experimenting helped me a lot. I’d agree with them when they say to deconstruct other people’s sounds. It is a great way to see what they were doing and it helps you to become familiar with other sounds. The best advice though is to not quit. I know it is hella hard and overwhelming but you have to keep going and eventually you will have a break though. Use sample packs and Frankenstein up your own song and keep watching videos and keep learning. It isn’t easy in the beginning but keep your head up. You can do this! 🤘🏽

I made a study out of the serum manual haha
That eastbound and down reference was gold! 🤣
I love you guys, and please YES MORE OF THESE types of sound design videos. SO GOOD.
I know you guys didn’t wanna go over all the filters for the sake of time but an in-depth video showing how and when to use each of the serum filters with some tips/tricks would be dope!
Excellent tutorial guys, really enjoyed more Serum knowledge!
Let the boy watch. He needs to learn. I'm in.
Great breakdown! Thanks to yallz I’ve lately had the confidence to do some of my own sound re-creations. I can’t ALWAYS rely on yallz packs, although I do rely HEAVILY on yallz packs. Keep up the good work, Sound Daddies!
super informal video as usual! Thank you guys!
This is the most comprehensive tutorial videos I have ever watched, they way you guys mix fun with knowledge, make me want you guys to teach my kids🤣

these are BiG NUGS of Knodge! I started playing guitar 17 years ago. Then i found skrillex in a video game. "Imma try it out" in the club on cod. It was all over from there.!
The next time I do coke.. I'll definitely be thinking about my basic shapes! Thnx Xlntsound! 👍👍🤙
Part 2! Applying sound design in music making
Definitely think you guys killed this. Your explanations are interstellar. A little bit of sound wave romance too for good measure. 🥂

Quite possibly the best R-rated sound design tips! You'll definitely remember them wave intercourse to produce that sound! Moaning in sawwaves should be a thing😄
PART 2 PLZ
Sick tips! I feel like an idiot, for not knowing this Macro Lfo tip... I was automating the Lfo directly in Ableton, but its more convenient to set the "sweetspot range" from the start. So tnx a lot guys :D Peace
Awesome vid; thank u daddy's
hey fam can you guys do a vid on phasing, kind of like the one you did on compression? i find that it’s something mentioned all the time but not something i’ve seen thoroughly explained. i.e. how to identify it, how to fix it if it happens, etc.

How to identify phasing: The sound's harmonics wobble in volume. It's the main reason a Reece works.
