i'd have it's only rock 'n' roll instead of goats head soup

That’s not a bad choice. I’d give goats head the edge…I think it’s their most underrated record. It’s only rock n roll is also great though…,I’d put that in their top ten or so.

Keith likes Let it Bleed. .Mick likes Some Girls. Mick is not big on Exiles.
Side 1 of Exile: Even the first 2 tracks justify the title “world’s greatest r’n’r band”.
I'm Going for ten ;) 1- Sticky Fingers 2- Exile On Main St. 3- Let It Bleed 4- Goats Head Soup 5- Beggars Banquet 6- Tattoo You 7- Some Girls 8- Aftermath 9- It's Only Rock & Roll 10- Emotional Rescue

Love the passion towards the music. This is a great video and the Stones are my favorite band of all time. Your video is better than 99% of the vinyl community stuff i see.

Satanic is so underrated. Great album.
1- exile 2- sticky fingers 3- beggars banquet 4- it's only rock n roll 5- goats head soup 6- some girls .
sticky fingers let it bleed beggars banquet black and blue aftermath
1- Beggars Banquet 2 -Exile 3-Let it Bleed 4 -Aftermath 5-Sticky Fingers
I totally agree. This is also my top five
I agree with you about almost everything except you didn't mention Moonlight Mile from Sticky Fingers, for sure the most beautiful song they've ever done. And on Let it Bleed, Gimme Shelter is the best rock song ever by anyone. The whole band is great but Charlie just rules that song!
BEG-GERS BAN-QUIT, the lead guitar, Mic Taylor. Exile, Sticky Fingers are two of the best (rock) albums ever made.
It's wild that my child and I have bought these albums. My Mama and Daddy have this album and all the albums with their names written in them. I'm assuming 5hat they had a break up in their youth and had to claim their records. I don't know but that's what makes sense. Thank GOD they stayed married since 75 I feel so badly for being a nuisance in teenage years because I had no discrepancy of what being married was, as most of my schoolmates parents were by divorced I love the rolling stones. I love my Mom and Dad and my Brother, sister and daughter and nephew.

That doesn’t need to be the case. Most of these situations in which people wrote their names on the records are different; People took their albums to parties. If everyone took some records with them they could listen to a lot more and different music but, with all the drinking and dancing going on, people might take the wrong records home. So to not mix up the rightful owners of these albums people wrote their names on them.
I agree, the golden era is from Beggar’s Banquet to Exile 👍
Exile - Sticky Fingers - Let it bleed - Beggars - Black and Blue
I used to not give Aftermath its due, then I heard it in mono and got completely blown away. I gotta believe that the US version ending with “Going Home” influenced The Doors greatly.

Yeah, I get it. I HATE Stupid Girl, and I’ve always hated Under My Thumb. Other than that, the rest of the album really does kick ass.

Exile still No. 1.
1. Let It Bleed 2. Exile 3. Beggars 4. Sticky Fingers 5. ?
I had developed a deeply geeky (and wallet destroying🤣) obsession with the Stones in 1990. Back then you could pick up UK Mono originals for £12-15 and I had the lot, LP, 7" and EPs. In those days the now revisionist idea that Exile is their greatest moment really hadn't happened. I think during the 90s music journo's were tired of talking about Beggars and Let It Bleed and Sticky, so they started pushing this album. My friends that were around when it was released in 1972 universally state that it was the first Stones' record that people went 'uh-oh.. they're losing it..'. It would have made a top quality single album but the double-album-blues set in here. As well as the heroin. I'd go:- Let It Bleed Sticky Fingers Beggars Banquet Between the Buttons Aftermath With honourable mentions for Exile, Goats Head, Black and Blue and Steel Wheels. Steel Wheels really was a breath of fresh air, you could hear them enjoying themselves again and Keith's rhythmic playing is probably his best ever. The Stones' album that never was is of course Main Offender, by Keith. Worst? Dirty Work. Easy.

Goats Head is real good indeed! I’m thinking of doing a Rolling Stones discography series later this year.
Have you ever heard a 1980s MFSL copy of Sick Fingers ? The era of MSFL is good but some say the EQ is Smiley Face but all you have to do is boost the mid range ,,I have a Some Girls MSFL 80s and it is amazing
@top5records796

I have heard the MFSL of Sticky Fingers and I think the EQ destroys it. EQ ones system doesn’t work in my experience because the information that should be there isn’t there and also; how could I guess what the original EQ is?
I’d take Some Girls over Sticky Fingers any day. Stones didn’t write it, that gritty ass 1977 NYC did. Let it Bleed for me is clearly their best album, hell it’s anybody’s best album.
3:07 RnB masters? Isn't the album full of Psychedelic pop/rock, raga rock, english folk and medieval styles and baroque pop😅 Maybe i need to listen again from start to finish?

What did he say? Beggars Pancake? He can’t even say the name of it. Banquet - BANKWIT. Jesus, you yanks.
I actually hate the sticky fingers cover art I believe it’s one of their worst
There is no “quality” mix of Exile. It is and always will be a muddy mess. That’s it’s charm. It’s a down and dirty, drug fuelled, sweaty summer in the South of France.
@top5records796

I agree! Though there are good pressings of it!
Exile is an album that should have been only one disc . There are a few decent songs on the first three sides but 50% is crap . The ony great side is side 4 with all those Blues and Soul numbers .
@Donjasoni

Critics missed the boat on Exile. Loving Cup and Torn and faryed are examples of great songs nobody knows. Old style country is in the record to. And alt of straight ahead rock and roll . Maybe one throw a way which is just a short mess. You really need to listen as a whole more than once.
