Yes! I plan to go to med school and I’ve been a CNA, and just finished my program and graduated as a CST (Cert. Surgical Technologist). Great experience to get for med school!

Those are the two professions I've been looking into! My high school offers dual enrollment for career certifications and among them is a CNA but I'm also interested in the surgeon path but I feel that being a ST is less challenging than a certified surgeon? Do you have any advice for me as a hs student?

I don't know whether to choose to take the course for medical assisting or the one to become a CNA. Would you say medical assisting is worth it?

That’s a good one. More and more clinical positions take on administrative responsibilities these days.

This is so weird, because I needed a job and I was broke so I got a CNA, that job I got for it sucked. So I got an NREMT B and it was traumatizing for low pay. Now that I’m looking into schooling, all these people are glorifying what in my experience are idiot jobs for low pay. Am I delusional?

Not delusional but you need to accept that those jobs are just what they are before you can become a doctor
