Top 5 Non-AR15 Rifles

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves goes over the top 5 rifles that are NOT an AR-15, but that ARE chambered in 5.56mm or .223 caliber like the AR-15 or M16. This was a tough list to make but James buckled down and did it anyways. Do you agree with this list? Let us know in the comments, and don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already.

I’m so firsty mom If my “7 Reasons the AK-47 is Terrible for SHTF Survival” video taught me anything, it’s that AK enjoyers have a hard time picking up subtle humor, probably due to FAS. (Link below. Seriously, check the comments to that video, they are incredible, especially the people who think that I really believe Jesus Christ was born in the United States [and he was btw].) So, a couple of points of clarification for your oldest child to read out loud to you before this video begins: 1) I like AKs, and I think I have 12-13 at this point. I did a video on them when I had about 10 last year. 2) I consider Brandon Herrera a close, personal, friend (not in a straight way). 3) I love all of you deeply, even you brainlet AK owners. So now, enjoy the list. I think you may be pleasantly surprised by #3. - James Why the AK Sucks video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qXeT0puFcbacdLg.html

Optics were expensive as shit Back then and Iron sights got the job done in 99.9% of it's use. The Iron sights on the Ranch version fully embraced this philosophy before everyone in the gun community became accuracy whores XD

Ian somehow got hands on An-94. The autopsy revealed that those Russian “wonder waffles” are mere propaganda. Upon further review it became quite obvious why Red Army never adopted any of those designs. By the way, Russians went with updated 47/74 variants instead of any other option. I guess they themselves do not believe in their own “wonder waffles”.

The problems with the Sig MCX Virtus are higher recoil than the AR15 (noticeably more not marginally more), the extra 1.5 pounds, the weight is out front due to the piston which is the worst place for weight, the charging handle and safety selector are rough to use (for the $2k they should at least be smooth). There are positives to the platform but it seems no one ever discusses the negatives.

Australian Steyr contracts were no dodgier than any other military contract, performance of a weapon isn't the only thing to take into consideration. Australia is fairly isolated from good allies in the region and likes to have locally produced items for good reasons, (local economy, jobs, supply lines, spares etc). The mini is 1" vs the AR is 2.5" -- Point of aim is point of impact. -- _surprisingly_ smaller silhouette presented to the target. _^^People rarely discuss exposure to the target nowadays, similar to the old bladed stances, or 20 round mags while prone, shooting from cover, etc^^_ 2. Weapon retention techniques are easier with sporting stocks. Not exclusive to the Mini, but worth noting for its intended application.
