You might add to stick to homes in Ocala Ridge on paved roads. There are a lot of new cookie cutter homes being built in the area. I bought a 3/1 fixer upper for $30,000 in 2016 (on 2nd St) and rented it for several years, recently selling it for $131,000.

@@StevenBillington Just was lucky to get it cheap. New windows, new LVP, new roof, new kitchen cabinets & appliances, paint, returned enclosed carport to carport, returned enclosed back porch back to screened porch, new drain field, paint, new doors, etc. Used some of what was there as a rental like the terrazzo floors, then roof and new kitchen when I sold it. Lots of people wanting to rent. Of course, one nutty tenant said there was a ghost and I found the former owner had killed himself. I would love to find more cheap fixer uppers in that neighborhood. I also like Ocala Estates where you can still find an occasional bargain.

Great video! Should Do one for 200k to 300k. Also, how's the area for computer repair and network administration jobs?

Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll keep that in mind for an upcoming video! We have several computer repair places but not a ton, so if you were looking to start your own their wouldn’t be a ton of competition. I’m not sure how “good” or “bad” the area is for these jobs, but we do have a lot of distribution centers for big brands/a commerce park where I would think would be hiring for network administration jobs from time to time. We have Chewy, Amazon, FedEx, Dollar General, Auto Zone, Cheney Brothers, Signature Brands. Hope that helps!

Hey Mary! I can’t say I’ve known someone who’s built a log cabin, actually. If you find something specific you want to look into, definitely let me know.

The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring , I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself.

Hi Steven, thanks for your comment! Stone Creek is a beautiful community. It’s about 20 min away from the interstate in SW Ocala. $265/month HOA. That includes a 24 hour guard and internet. I own a property or two in Florida also. Get them letters all the time. 90% of them are garbage letters for a price that is not fair to you or your parents. Only about 10% are legit and honest fair offers.
