Pro tip with the floor liners if you are one of the few of us with a modern Tacoma that has a standard transmission most of the floor liners won’t fit unless you buy the ones from toyota

Hey man i changed the interior bulbs on my 2016 tacoma and now neither work . They were fine for a few min but then they stopped working i tried the old bulbs back but nothing i checked the fuse and it looks fine . What might it be ?

#3 - Remote Start Would that allow me to go grocery shopping with the A/C/Truck on to keep my dog cool during FL heat? I did this all the time with my corolla by just manually locking the doors, but ever since getting the truck, I've been unable to do this.

I'm guessing you have to leave the car in neutral? Or can you leave it in gear when you park? I am so used to putting my car into first or third gear when I park - I have always wanted auto start but always had a manual - didn't know this was possible!

Mike Normandy I had a remote starter “aftermarket” in a manual. The truck had to be in neutral for it to work. When I was looking to get one installed most companies that do installs simply said “No” because of it being a manual.

Hey I saw mount Garfield in grand junction!

The remote start problem of the engine shutting off when the door is opened can be fixed through software, if Toyota wanted to patch it. Ford did it right with their remote start. After you open the door you have a minute to get in, depress the brake pedal and hit the start button. If you don't, the engine will shut off. Toyota can easily update the software to sense when someone is in the seat and has their foot on the brake. Why they haven't done this? I have no idea.

Even if the truck was configured to run after the door opens, like many other cars I've had, it simply won't allow it to be moved from park until the key is within the cab.

If you put said toilet paper In your center console or glove box, yes it counts. It's a lifesaver.

I believe the dull interior lights are there for a reason. Besides the obvious trend of auto manufacturers trying to spend as little as possible when buying components and building these, the dull lights help to preserve night vision when driving at night. If you flip on a really bright light to find something at 1:00 AM, you'll get "sun blinded" and you'll have to let your eyes readjust to the dark road. It's a potential lawsuit that I'm sure Toyota and others are trying to avoid

I have the factory rubber floor liners. Work just fine. Look pretty much identical to the Husky liners as well. For a remote start, that may be a man card violation, I'll consult the handbook. That S Pod is genius, and now I know what I want Santa to bring me for Christmas. Wait, we have vanity mirrors????? I have not noticed that being I'm a guy. I'm sure my wife has discovered that feature by now though.

Tacoma Beast is the kit for the 2019 available yet? I thought it had different sized map lights or something along those lines

So might be late but you know all vehicles after 2017 have remote start already built in….. with that exact same feature. Idk how old this Tacoma is but it seems to be a 3rd gen which should come with remote start automatically.

@@tacomabeast Just when you are scrolling down a product the page snaps up, the item title disappears. I like to do screenshots of stuff I want to buy, including an image of it, the title, and part of the description. If using the scroll bar, it flickers up and down, not smooth at all. It does it in Firefox and Chrome so it's not browser-specific. It's bad enough on a 24"+ monitor, it's really bad on a 12-14" because you can't see the full product image, you can only see either the top portion of it or as you scroll down it flicks up so you can only see the bottom of the image. And take for instance I'm looking at the Heretic light bars... I have to scroll down to see the thumbnails to change the image, but because the way the format of the sight is the top part of the image is covered by the header, so I have to scroll back up, and the thumbnails once again disappear while the page does its crazy snap scrolling, or whatever you want to call it.
