Ойындар

Classic WoW PVP was not exactly balanced, for the World of Warcraft player base PVP was unknown territory and watching the first ever vanilla PVP videos showed us what was capable with certain classes.

    Roguecraft is the best wow video ever. "Rogues are scissors." "Warriors are rock." "Hunters, paladins, priests, druids, mages, and shamans are paper." "Warlocks are mushrooms." "Paper beats rock." "Scissors beat paper." "Scissors also happen to beat rock..." "Until rock hits sixty at which point rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that also beats paper, and would beat scissors, but it can't find scissors, because scissors are invisible. So scissors beat paper and avoid rock, and that is called balance."

    It's hard to pick the best warrior video for a top 5 of all PVP videos ever. Laintime was, hands down, the best video when it came to showcasing skill. Pat's first video (world PVP in Valor with an OEB) made us all aware of Scrolling Combat Text and, to a lesser extent, the latest Rob Zombie album. His second video (High Warlord with 52 talent points) showcased why Blizzard never wanted MS warriors to have Deathwish as well as showing how a warrior with pocket heals and 2 rows of buffs can become a raid boss. Maydie's video taught warriors all about Recklessness and, IMO, was the most entertaining.

  • @chocomonstaar

    @chocomonstaar

    It was never unlimited. There was just no cooldown. It had a chance to do 2 extra hits, but if you were lucky it could proc on every swing. As us Shamans favored slow 2-handers, this meant it would proc only every 3 sec or so. Still a lot, but it wasn't like we were hitting 20 times in one swing.

  • @nottheonlysinner

    Chocomonstaar Did u even play vanilla? Windfury could proc from windfury procs. Why talk if u dont know what u talking about?

  • @V0r4xiz

    @V0r4xiz

    5 жыл бұрын

    It didn't have "unlimited procs". It was a PPM like almost every proc in the game in classic. The appeal to use a two hander with WF is the fact that if a PPM is used with something that only hits every 3.6 seconds, it meant that it has a statistical 60% chance of proccing off a regular white swing. Yes, it could proc off itself for like half a content patch (!!!) but that's it. Only one moment in time. Not all 2 years of vanilla. That's simply wrong. So much fore "why talk if you don't know what you're talking about?" Arrogant shithead know nothing bitch. WF always was a proc that gave you 2 additional white swings (in one patch, those were ability hits: yellow) with 300 extra attackpower period.

  • @i.i8301
    @i.i83016 жыл бұрын

    Classic wow windfury had no limits in it early days on how many times it could proc, Theoretically you could 1 shot raid bosses at 1 point if you were lucky enough to get the stack. (this was patched out in the early patches tho, im not sure when the limiter was added)

    No Pat for Warr, really? The guy defined the bg experience for Warr. Till this day, every Warr still tries to do the Pat thing of rushing into a ton of reds, with topline gear, windfury and pocket heals, and destroy everything in sight (even though the class can't be played like that anymore). Also, Stuck for rogues. A forgotten rogue, but, an important one, also. When Mute made world of rogue craft, he was emulating Stuck's Nerf Dirks (starter rogue weapon). Stuck wasn't the greatest, but he did a lot of firsts never seen before, even NOT keyboard turning, since everyone back then did. Also, stuff like gouge+exit combat+ restealth. Finally, do I even need to mention Faxmonkey for mages?

    I still remember the vurtne tears on sylvanas. So many insisting "good pvpers wrecked vurtne" but this was nonsense. He was beatable sure - nearly everybody was - but most of the people beating him had tier 2+ against his magisters armour.

    azgas nerf druids is a good video, but unfortunatly only druids really knows about it... and since druids were a very small % of the playerbase, its not really that memorable. Also all these that were mentioned in the video are definetly more influential and memorable than azgas.

    Drakedog shud have been on this list no doubt about it. He was so influential he was even mentioned in other vanilla movies. Both vurtne and world of roguecraft gave him multiple mentions. Drake was one of the biggest pvp video creators of vanilla.

    Im kind of Sad that Donax (Human Priest) from Durotan Server wasnt on here, but then again, he didnt really make videos, but he was the scourge of the horde and they hated him.

    I wouldn't say these guys were the most influential, they are probably just the best known when it came to recording and publishing their gameplay videos. I played on Gurubashi the first 5 years of WoW, and we had guys on there that were just as good if not better at PVP. Starsky and Hutch were a very well known Alliance duo that whole guilds would try to take down whenever they pop'd up. I'm not dissing your video, just saying I think it needs a different title because there were influential players on the PVP servers that probably never posted their gameplay.
